Need to bridge 802.1x MAC 01:80:c2:00:00:03

In Linux I can set  echo 8 > /sys/class/net/br0/bridge/group_fwd_mask To allow non 802.1D traffic to be bridged in a bridge group.  802.1D is not suppose to bridge  01:80:c2:00:00:00 to 01:80:c2:00:00:0f I need to bridge 01:80:c2:00:00:03 traffic so I can bypass my stupid Uverse box session limits....

900mhz 9hpn link 1.32mile.. bad quality.. good signal? What gives?

I have a LOS with some trees (one row) 1.32 mile link with a pair of 9hpn radios. 14 dbi gain antennas on both side. The radio says the noise floor is -110dBm. I am using 5 mhz channel and have tried 10 and 20 as well. Remote side. status: connected-to-ess channel: 907/5/g wireless-protocol: nv2 tx-...

Re: Nat ONLY SMTP (port 25) to a particular interface/IP on MT

It is not the same as the default gateway interface for the network, but it is for the MT router. I am not going to paste my config with IPs etc here... It is just not that complicated. It is almost like a reverse NAT idea I want to do. All internal traffic destined to TCP port 25 on any on src-addr...

Nat ONLY SMTP (port 25) to a particular interface/IP on MT

I need to NAT all outgoing SMPT Port 25 traffic to a particular MT interface with an IP address. I tried something like in ip firewall nat add action=masquerade chain=srcnat dst-port=25 out-interface=ether3-out protocol=tcp to-addresses=x.x.x.x (ip on MT) but it does not seem to work. I have tried n...

Re: Netwatch; continual reboots

If you can not get into the device because it reboots to fast due to the netwatch reboot command, you need to put the MT fielesystem on a linux box (this is what I did) and delete the file with the config for the netwatch command. I don't remember which one it was since this was a while ago. The iss...

SIP Priority Queues

I need to make sure that SIP has priority in the Mikrotik and on the network. I am attempting to assign a higher priority to SIP and lesser priority to everything else. I have read quite a bit and understand the QOS but can not make it work. I don't see a lot of information on troubleshooting this p...

I did not understand the hold on the RB with netinstall thing but I was able to mount the drive under RHEL and remove the offending netwatch command.

Thanks for all the help everyone.

Netwatch; continual reboots

I think I did a bad thing. I have a wireless card (Verizon wireless) on the MT (3.17) and it works fine but sometimes the wireless just wont work anymore. It normally stops after a day or two. So in my infinite wisdom I setup a netwatch to ping a remote IP and then reboot the system it if does not r...

USB Cellular; Multiple Connections; Load Balance

I have been playing around with Mirotik and a USB wireless modem(s). I got one working very well and wanted to see if I could add another one working. Mikrotik with USB Verizon Wireless

Does anyone have a suggestion of a board to use with Mikrotik and a USB Verizon adapter to work with it?

I can't seem to find a definitive list of Cellular USB devices that work with Mikrotik.

I was thinking about the Intel D945GCLF Board to run Mikrotik. Any issues with that?

Thanks

Re: Exclude different /24 space on same interface from NAT rules

It does not let you set an incomming interface for the nat rules.

See error

ingoing interface matching not possible in srcnat chain

It will let you set it for outgoing. I have that done already.

I dont know. I figured marking the dst-address with a routing-mark to be routed in prerouting would get them to route before the nat rules. It is not the src or interface I am trying to route by but the dst-address that they want to get to, the vpn traffic.

I am not using omni antennas with Mikrotik.

I dont agree with you on the "You dont need diversity in mikrotik..."

Diversity support can be very helpfull with Multipath and rf fading from my understanding.
