Exactly - thank you for restating it for me so correctly - Me thinks we were not communicating with Normis correctly - there needs to be a tool to recover something like this without having to have direct access to equipment - some way of going directly to bios to make the config changes. Thank you,...

Re: NV2 Real life PTMP migration and stability

This may work for an ENTIRELY MT RB NETWORK - in real life this doesn't work. You have a mix of new and old - MT and UB and Tranzeo and Engenious and whatever really worked good at that time! NV2 does NOT work outside the MT spectrum and any Routerboard running 4.16 or rc7 with NV2 activated will NO...

What was the last fully functional version for AP?

Hey All,
I'm taking a poll.

What was the last really great version for Access Points!

I'm using v3.30 but it's not as good as some earlier versions.

What is your favorite flavor?

We set Dude to run on a XP server and after Dude loads we can no longer access internet sites.
The server has two NICS - one on the inside of the network and one external.

Re: XR9 waveform power output and co-location of radios

I hear the word - rootenna again - also omni - both of which I seem to be having problems. I have a single omni at 100feet and a rootenna 1.08 miles away. No connection. Are pine trees really that big of a problem? I'm putting up a 18dbi yagi today to replace the omni. Is more power a good thing in ...

Hey jcremin,
Thanks for the reply.
My towers are all over 100feet.
I'm in a rural area - although there are cell towers occasionally.
I'm using 18dbi yagis and XR9's - still no connections over 5mile.

I have been having issues with Sprint/Nextel towers. Everytime I fireup a XR9 AP - they call my office to say I'm operating illegally and then they try to ride the channel I'm on. None compatible. I think ZCom makes a card. I would like to see a cheaper SR9 with a low powered amp. 200mw or less. Something under $100 USD. We're only allowed 36dB in the US, and with a 15dBi antenna, we've got to turn the power down, so that 28dB output isn't benificial in all cases. I'd also l...
