Just a quick update, I downgraded to 6.40.8 and I've gone a little over 24 hours without any kernel failure reboots.

I just had another kernel panic on the 6.43rc11 version, so I would say the issue is probably not fixed. I'm probably going to downgrade to the most current bugfix version and see if that helps.

Without inspecting supout files through support@mikrotik.com it is not possible to be sure what is the problem with your router. Just as suddenly as my problem showed up, it has stopped. I'm having similar issues. I have a CCR1009. It's been acting as my PPPoE concentrator for a couple years. About 3 weeks ago, I upgraded the ROS version to 6.42.1 to address the vulnerability. I didn't have any issues until yesterday after enabling OSPF/MPLS/VPLS on my network. About 12 hours later,...

I didn't see you say what kind of battery charger you were going to use. Keep in mind that many standard chargers aren't designed to charge a battery AND power a load. It has to do with the MPPE encryption. XP and UBNT clients (and probably others) run fine for awhile and then no traffic will pass. You probably didn't have to disable the other Authentication methods... Simply turning off encryption in the pppoe profile should have worked.

I'd be suprised if you get good results off of 2.4 ghz either. Signals of this frequency just don't penetrate through brick very well. You might be better off trying an XR9 for the AP and build little indoor client units. I've never had good luck getting indoor coverage. It always seems to work best...

You are connecting to the router via MAC address. If you want to keep doing this, make sure you disable any other network cards, bluetooth, VM virtual adaptors, etc...

A better solution is to connect to it via IP address.

This is very anoying. How can I get only 20 Mbps from Mikrotik/RB150?.
Well, the RB150 is probably the problem. I've never used a 150 before, but the CPU is fairly slow, and just running the bandwidth test eats up a lot of the CPU.
