Radio cards and antennas for frequencies above 10 GHz

Does anyone know if there are companies making equipment (radios and antennas) for Mikrotik working in high frequency bands? Like any frequency band over 5/6 GHz like anything above 10 GHz and even up to 60 GHz? (I'm aware of UBNT's 10 GHz equipment, but I'd like to exploit the higher frequency band...

Re: PPPoE & IPv6

I would think that /64 for residential and /48 for business would be fine. Not sure why home users would need to subnet? Dude. V6 is introduced to give everyone enough addresses. There are enough addresses available and no reason to conserve. It's not difficult to imagine that users would like one ...

Re: Vlan trunking with RB411/Level 3

I have a RB411/Mikrotik 4.5 Level 3 and a managed switch 802.1q compatible. I connect my Mikrotik to a trunk port (native vlan, id=1 and a test vlan, id=200). Now, management address of routerboard is on ether1 interface, but i want it on a vlan1 interface; I tried to create vlans on routerboard, t...

Re: Enabling Nstreme with XR2 cards in 411AH

I'm trying to enable Nstreme for 2 of the above mentioned setup. I'm running them in WDS AP mode. As soon as I select enable Nstreme, I loose the connection... Am I missing something? thanx Well, you're missing logs and config info... :p Try setting hw-retries=15 on both ends and try again. Oh, and...

Re: PppoE - specific Secret for specific Server Needed !!

If we could create Ppp-secret for each server on these interfaces that one created for to connect through PppoE-server "Saudi" on interface5 would not be able to connect across iface4 on which we have another PppoE-server "India" - would be great. This is easy to achieve if you ...

Re: "multiport vlans" or bridged interfaces?

Basically, I just wish to have three segments: WAN (external internet connection), LAN (local network), and DMZ (externally facing servers). Not sure I understand exactly what you want to achieve. Are you trying to use the 750 as a switch, tagging a number of VLANs on the wan interface? If so, just...

Re: feature request : Delete confirmation

You can't press undo if you accidentally delete : chain=input action=accept src-address-list=my_ip_add
if the line under this one is chain=input action=drop .
Yes you can, if you have a rule on top which is chain=input connection-state=established action=accept

We_an ISP_are planning to switch to MT as PPPoE server. all of our 1000 clients' ADSL modems is configured with different "service names" and they Have no problem connecting to cisco as PPPoE server. but when we switched to MT, we noticed that configured "service name" on ADSL m...

I'd really like to see this soon, too. I've updated the wiki feature voting page, please add your vote there:

Re: rb493 managed switch with vlan support?

I've been trying to help out in IRC. Unfortunately, considering what you wrote, I don't think you're of much help right now. As far as I am aware, unless the eth ports are bridged together, data won't flow between. If you'd read his first post properly, you'd seen that he's trying to use the switch...

Re: rb493 managed switch with vlan support?

I've been testing this out for the last hour, trying to help OP on IRC chat, but as far as I can see the big problem is that RouterBoard just can't have the concept of an access port. If I bridged an untagged interface and a vlan interface, the arp requests of the data traffic coming from the tagge...

Re: rb493 managed switch with vlan support?

I'm not sure I understand exactly what you want to achieve, and I don't have the time right now to study your setup in detail. But am I right in assuming that you want your packets on the 2.x network to go tagged on vlan501 to pfsense? If so, you need to bridge vlan501 together with something. As it...

Given that I understand you correctly, you can use a bridge filter rule to exclude all VLANs but the one(s) you want to permit.

Show us your setup, please.

Remember to assign the VLAN to the wds interface on the access point/bridge, not directly on the wlan interface.

IPv6, have at least two projects that we can't use MT on due to no IPv6
I second this. IPv6 would be very useful.
