DHCP pool should be used only when it doe snot matter what actual IP client gets. If it doe smatter, then use pool for initial connection and then assign static IP to that client. For example, if you have IP range 192.168.1.0/24, gateway is 192.168.1.1 and you want users to have ips from .2 to up, t...

Bandwidth Test is very useful tool for testing links. However, there is one missing feature - testing links under large number of simultaneous connections.

It would be great to make it possible, as it would allow testing connection limitation, multipath routes and similar configurations.

It is very strange that Mikrotik decided to put 1W wireless interface in RB751U-2HnD making it illegal in most countries.

It is unlikely that we would be able to use it in our country except if it is imported illegally. That is pitty, as it is great and very useful device that could be widely used.

The R5H connects at 54 Mbps at -72dB. That is neither low nor slow. Why should it be stronger? Just to waste time, effort, money, and spectrum? Because you have to provide at least 22dB SNR and usually about 10 dB more to cover for propagation changes. Less signal means problems, like what you have.

I tried this: /ip firewall mangle add action=mark-connection chain=prerouting in-interface=ptt new-connect...

There is no need for script like that. Use netwatch feature of Mikrotik. It can ping specified address and if fails then run script to send mail or whatever you need.

Accessing TOS on bit base

Mikrotik can control packet TOS only as whole byte. This means it can check TOPS value only if it matches byte value and it also can change TOS value only as byte value. But TOS works on but by bit basis.

It would be good to have options to make MT set or check just specified bit(s) within TOS byte.

Sure you can use MT to solve a problem. Simply set static DNS entry in MT DNS to override public IP with local IP for the same mnemonic address.

Do not set IP for LAN, as it is not needed. Simply remove IP address on interface and noone connected to that interface will be unable to do nothing unless he connects using PPPoE.

Try bridging AP interface with incoming lan interface. It should work, as then any client connected to AP would see whole network behind including DHCP server. I guess you have to use MT 3.x as earlier versions have problems with bridging in such manner.
