If your cpe’s will be working in router mode with NAT then simple queue per cpe or PCQ might work.

Hard to tell without more details but I can guess you would be able to access local IP throu VPN if LAN local interface ARP settings will be changed from “enable” to “proxy arp”.

I still don't see any reason having the same address pool, different guest network have different subnet, DHCP server and different pool. From guessing what you might wanted to achieve check if you have valid IP and subnet on every vlan interface.

And your isp via DHCP was giving you dns that might be slow. By turning off use-peer-dns you told your router to not use dns provided by dhcp

Is your Cap client traffic bridged or tunnelled? If tunneled you Might not be able to access cap from wireless interface.

Either way I recommend using romon in those situations

Why not avoiding using Guest Wifi for cameras and other non-guest devices?

You can add a VirtualAP and use a virtual SSID for cameras. I believe this will be a lot easier for you

There is no need to use quick set every time.

If you manage to connect in marina then in different marrina go to Wireless menu and connect to different AP.

Define new Security profile for new network
change SSID and maybe other settings on the wireless interface, wireless tab

Hi Add your networks to network tab under OSPF and interfaces will be added dynamically based on link type. On default it will be broadcast network. Add manually interfaces ether and wireless to in interfaces tab and set type as NBMA. now you have to add neighbours manually under NBMA neighbour TAB....

Thank you! I currently have to make a CPE script that does settings that are compatible with both 802.11, nstreme and NV2

just use

wireless-protocol = nv2-nstreme-802.11 on all your CPE's

wmm only works in 802.11 and is ignored in other proprietary protocols

example

your dual chain client has to spend 1s to transmit same aount of data as 2s single chain client.


Single chain client will slow overal maximum throuput, but dual chain clients will still work

Single radio will not support AP and STA at same time.

Yes two radio cards operating on same frequecy are affecting each other (sharing same medium), but if it will definietly work better then 3G network.

I understand, only way to avoid mac spoofing is a static ARP on a next L3 device, Do you use DHCP with static leases ? If yes then DHCP server can automatically set static ARP entry, If not you have to do it manually yourself thinking.... pseudobridge is doing nothing esle then MAC-SRC-NAT istn't ??...

The only way is tunneling if you want to send VLANs over,

I suggest to you use EoIP tunnel and if needed uses IPsec to encrypt it, it should work,

Remeber to decrease mss becouse lower MTU on Tunnel will couse you problems.

If you load more in a car to go with same speed you need more power in engine (higher gain antenna or more powerfull radio card). If your radio card will be transmiting with higher modulation (data rate) your amplifier cannot be that accurate so output power decreeses. on reciever side you need more...

no you are wrong, WDS is clearly defined as a mode in ddwrt, repeater mode has nothing to do with WDS

if its a must that users need to connect to main office, than there is no much field to choose. other option is to use MPLS-VPLS, but if traffic goes only to one destination, it will be overengineering using MPLS.

Has anybody tested the difference between short Preamble and long Preamble ? They say Long Preamble goes farther... -Jordan

No diffrence in it is only amout of bytes in frame header. With short preamble you will recieve higher troughput, but some stations that dont support SP will not work at all

this works well but there is another problem with this implementation.

Problem is when you are sending "listen" command (ie: /interface/wireless/registration-table/listen ).

As listen never ends, there is no !done command, and from main program read method just freezes,

It is not a technical question but i manage to sort out script to our technicians to do wireless config for them after changing radio cards. I can modify that script a little bit to fits everyones need. is anyone interested ? If not I will not be bothered to do that.

Yes it does

It is but when you are in console window in Winbox. Widnows shortcuts doestn work.

e.g.

CTRL - C = break operation
CTRL - X = safe mode
CTRL - V = auto completion without using tabs

etc.

You had to accidently pressed CTRL+V in console

just press it again... and it will be back to normal

You can use TTL... but my opinion is to let them work.. behind the nat can be 100 computer but they will share one band wich you are giving to them so it shouldn't affect... other solution is if traffic will be high from that user.. try to do some Usage limitation... if Data transfer will exeed some...

If you change TTL to 1 on packets comming out your LAN interface of hotspot that should stop working routers.
