help diagnosing 2.4 link

Hi, I have 2.4 link that I'm using as a bridge. It is about a 12 mile link. The link tends to drop a couple times an hour for about 30 seconds each time. It's been running since last spring and just started doing this in the last few weeks. Here are the stats: signal strength: -61 tx signal str: -60...

3x 532 with dead ether2?

Re: DNS Failure issue

Are those 2 dns servers you listed recursive for the ip address of your mikrotik?

for instance, can you do a nslookup from behind that router and get a reply? ie, nslookup www.yahoo.com. 202.153.32.3

RB411a into Cisco 3750g switch

I am trying to add a RB411a as a wireless access point to a network that uses a Cisco 3750g switch. When I plug in the RB, the switch seems to block all traffic to it. I can successfully communicate with the RB if I plug directly in to it with my laptop (using a POE), but when I plug into the switch...

Re: How to redirect HTTP (tcp 80) ports to another server

set your dst-nat rules as the posts above reccomend... then, try this in your squid.conf: httpd_accel_host virtual httpd_accel_port 80 httpd_accel_with_proxy on httpd_accel_uses_host_header on Or if it's a newer version of squid, this: http_port <ip of server>:<port your proxy listens on> transparent

Re: OSPF and Disabled/Enabled Interface

I've seen that before as well. For me, It only did it when I had the old routing package enabled. Routing-testing package solved it.

MD5 value mismatch on Authorize.Net gateway and User Manager

I get this error after going through a signup on my hotspot. Authorize.net processes the transaction and I get a receipt emailed to me. I'm unable to login with this new user. If go into the user manager on this router, I can see the user I just created. It has the username, password, unlimited time...

this is not universal OS

please stay on routing features at least try
I realize that it's not a universal OS. But what do ntp, dns and proxy servers have do with routing? They are all part Mikrotik.

yep

Destination = the Public IP you want to use Gateway = the IP address of your MT private interface Pref Source = the IP address of your MT private interface We're doing this and don't have any proxy-arp turned on. And it works. Also it doesn't work on Linksys routers(well, the befsr41 anyway).[/quote]
