Use 45W or higher power soldering-iron to replace this caps. Regarding your second problem description testify ...

Re: R52Hn heat/problems

With 0 ohms resistor swich 5V power source and solder external power source wires in located place. See attached picture. Don't mix 5V polarity! Don't exceed 5V! In that way you reduce heat dissipation from card.

You are right Tom, but last two or three years RB14 comes with 3A regulator - that mean 1,5A ( 5W ) for each mPCI or 3A (10W ) for each if you use two wireless connected to own regulator. And of course RB14 support PCI bus without 5V.

Re: Why need two power jacks on RB450?

No, 13V is too low for POE supplying. It is mostly for indoor usage.

It's PSU problem. Use 18V DC or 24V DC switching PSU

MTBF for same type each RB batch can be very different. It's related with when this RB is made, where and how large is production bath and some other consedirations.

You receive RB with eth1 problem or something happen when you use it? If you have problem with any interface no reason formating NAND. Just make /system reset-configuration or upgrade RouterOS

Re: Failing ether interfaces?

Hi, if you don't have ethernet connection but RB load RouterOS in most case RB PHY is dead. If you know some skiled electronics engineer or ham radio guy you can repair RB localy ( RB repairing is not so difficult ) or write e-mail to rma@mikrotik.com and explain your problem.

Re: 100mbps full duplex over wireless with Mikrotik?

Same setup but without OSPF load-balancing. Just separate data flow with different gateways. I test on 10km and make stable ~ 190mbit on each direction with b-test. But I am not sure about 30km.

RB450G is fine. I have gbit fiber optic on internet connection and few separate 1000Base-T and 100Base-T networks with ~ 200 customers and CPU load not exceed some 60%

Your first print out is not from RB532. RB500 don't have 175MHz CPU clock.

Actually this chip is just OVP. Possible your RB still life. Take metal tweezers and short this chip one side legs to other side legs. If your RB turn on and booting that mean you are lucky.

You can check antenna quality measuring for example antenna gain or SWR and compare with producer information. In attachment you can see two same type different company antenna SWR

Have you try 2412-2472MHz frequency? Most 2,4GHz antennas have bad SWR and antenna gain value on 2312MHz

Re: RB's power off - need to pull dc plug to repower

Hi,that mean your electricity network possible is not stable. Old rev. RB4xx is sensitive to ~half second power outage. In all new rev. RB this bug is fixed. Use some UPS or lead acid battery to stabilize power.
