i'm using the Power supply that came in the box with it. Also, I don't see anything wrong with the capacitors on the board. Granted, I haven't czeched them electrically (yet).

Can you email me the FCC and CE certification paperwork? For government projects here in Japan, the devices require Telec certification. Any paperwork you could send my way would be appreciated.

Why not just add a "Session-Timeout" variable to your radius profile for that group? That way, the users' client will automatically disconnect and reconnect after the specified timeout period, for example, after 86400 seconds (24 Hours).

Is there a way to set the R52 or R52H to 4.9Ghz? This frequency set is allowed here in Japan, but none of the country settings (japan-japan5) allow frequencies down into the 4.9Ghz range. The docs for the R52 series cards state that they are capable down to 4920.

I have my remote MTs sending their logs to port 514 on my dude box and I don't see anything. My config is almost the same as yours without the email portion.

Any chance you guys could make a standalone verson of the dude package to run as a daemon under linux?

It sure would be handy to be able to have a linux box doing my network onitoring without having to have to waste an entire x86 box by loading rOS on it.

You need to add the mac addresses into your radcheck table in radius in the following format:

Username: XX:XX:XX:XX:XX:XX
Attribute: Password

Value: <blank>

This will allow the specified mac addresses to authenticate against your radius database and connect properly.

Unfortunately, the fiber is not directly controlled by us. We cannot touch the fiber, it is only there so we can initiate a pppoe link to the internet.

Yes. There are extreme amounts of 2.4Ghz traffic pollution in the area where we are deployed at, but there are no APs using channel 13 (I'm in Japan).

So we use WDS to keep the APS all on the same channel without causing interference with eachother.

However, it does not use the existing fiber optic connection available at each site. That is what I am trying to do.

Why not simply put them all on Channel 1 and WDS them together?

Create static WDS links between each interface and add them all to the same RTSP bridge.

Give all of the wireless interfaces the same ssid.
Basically your array will appear as one big antenna.

I already checked that out. The mac addresses for all interfaces are unique.

I'm still new to the whole hotspot thing but my company plans on rolling out 15 or 20 hotspots within the next couple of months.

When creating an IP address on a MT, RouterOS automatically sets the ip as (for example) 10.5.0.10/32 when it should be /24.

Yes, I upgraded to the latest firmware. Same problem. I have tried net install and serial install.

I even had the rebooting problem when it was running linux from the CF card.
