RB751U-2HnD has two chain 'n' wireless chip.
27dB per chain gives 30dB total.
Set Tx power to 27dB and check 'Current Tx Power' tab in Winbox.

is the temperature and voltage error very big for you too, meno? I know that the SXT sensor is not very accurate, and should be used only to monitor changes, not measure accurate reading. you are using 10Mhz channel witdh so the real bandwidth is upto 15Mbps

Not to go off-topic, but how do yo calculate focal point as it's slightly different for each frequency(band)? Ekkas the focal point doesnt change by frequency its depend of the size and form of the reflector.. I have been told that the reflectors don't work for dual polarity type devices. it works ...

Does anyone know if the stock RAM is capable of running at 533 MHz?
I might consider a RB1100 as suitable replacement for dying RB1000's if I can reliably clock them to 1333/533 MHz... :)

I had the same problem when I connected to a switch port11,12 connected without problem, but when I connected to a pc,in this case a wimax antenna, it disconnects and connects every momemnt, I tried deactivating the auto negotiation, even with 10/100 and full duplex... please mikrotik give us a solu...

they use the same hardware chip, for example the AR7240, the big difference is the software,,, routeros is more complex, routeboard has 2 chips for boot the OS, the bootloader is stored in a 64k eeeprom and a copy in the nand flash. so basically routerboard boots using a "flash drive"

I got u.. it will be poor.. these chip are made for SOHO router but its amplified by RouterOS.. if u want good performance buy at lease RB450G or RB1000 it has ipsec hardware acelerator

RB1000 can pass through 3.2Gbps I guess it is with a single ip route without connection tracking. Than you should be asking how to fix those routerboards to show 64MB instead 128MB :D

Seriously, the spec sheet shows what you should get, anything more you can consider as a bonus. For example I have old RB433AH with 512MB and new with 64MB...

I think will be harder o modify fwf file, see 493 and 493AH. It uses the same firmware and it have different memory size. Maybe check openwrt sources can help you. I would like to have this too. But i don't think we'll get help with DIY projects from official stuff members because there are other options from routerboard higher price ranged with more ram. thats weird according to the specification of these chips the IP175D is better than the IP175C, I also see a variant IP175E, its seems the same as C

I found the problem, and guys you wont beleive me,,, I discovered that both miniPCI has the same EEEPROM chip, means it has the same mac address, etc

so I soldered another eeeprom from R52H and put it, and worked perfectly, now im trying to modify the eeeprom to see if I can change the mac

Upgrade to v4.6 and upgrade your bootloader, maybe it helps. I have one running equal like yours and it works like a charm. I have them working with external power supply at 24v. the only way i could was using bridge

in the interface when there is more than 1 vlan (trunk) create the correspondient vlan, so create the bridge and put the vlan, and the physical interface (ether2,ether3,etc)

according to the wiki, the AR7240 is the chip of the RB750, and the RB750G use the same as RB450G the AR8316, both must support vlan tagging from ROS 4.x

try the bonding funtion, but select 802.ad that is the link agregation standard protocol (trunking) and in the other 3 ports Im not sure if that vlan is 802.1Q

Ahh thanks, that wiki explains the problem well. The RB493 and 493AH use the IP178C switch chip which is an 8 port version of the IP175C. They both fit into the 'other' category in the wiki. did u try with scripts? because with ping test, its not necesary going to foll down if the adsl doesnt response anymore or even the router of ur provider so, u have to designe another way to do that.

mira si tu quieres utilizar vlan sobre wireless los enlaces deberan ser del tipo WDS transparente para que logre pasar los taggs de las vlan, para una red cableada necesiats un switch administrable para que puedas asignar las vlans correspondientes.

u can get upto ~ 25Mbps TCP throghput on each sector panel, if ur cpe are connected to 54mbps, so if u are going to sell 6mbps each customer, I think will be possible

the ratio for reselling I guess u can go up to 1:6 ~ 1:8

I mean if u buy 1Mbps dedicated u can sell 6 or 8 times more 6mbps,8mbps

I just tried WMM on WRT54g as AP

so my experience was.. 2 clients notebooks both WMM activated

when I was alone to AP testing bandwidth I can get TCP 25mbps.. and when others connected its down to half..

the test what I did was to create the vlan on the bridge interface, and the client side WDS/client.. and works perfectly

its depent of the size of packet .. when u use 1500bytes packet you can get up to 25 Mbps on TCP but if you use 64byte up to 17 18Mbps..without routing..

because the NS2 you have to put on compliance test.. and is 2.3 - 2.6 ghz

but is asigned dinamically.. so if I put static default route. when change the IP is doesnt not work anymore.. so Ive to check the "add default route" with the PPPoE connection..

hi can you help me how to configure an multiple gateway with failover.... Ive 1 ADSL and 1 wimax . both internet conection...

so I use 2 default route with different distance. but doesnt work when ISP1 down..

That is kinda I want to make.. create a vlan per customer... but I dont know exactly how do that on wimax profesional equipment like alvarion,. I heared about a pseudo vlan.. but that all I know in 802.11a/b/g

I know but in my account I just want to choose the custom frequency not the level 4,5,6... that my problem... I want to put the custom frequency license on my RB433 and my RB333.. so I must rebuy another level 4 license???

that email script is cool. i have realized the whole thing in a different way. i have nagios polling the voltage via snmp and give an alarm via email and sms if the voltage is out of normal values. that work fine for me.

mikrotik recomends 200Mhz of seperation between tx an rx .... didnt u try tx with 2.4 and rx 5ghz..?
