PPPOE set Max Sessions per router?

HI all, We have 6 CCR’s in a PPPOE server cluster, What we have always done is just have a number of PPOE servers and they generally automatically load balance, I had also previously set “Max Sessions” to 500 on each CCR to prevent one getting too many connections. Re: DDOS detection script?

For a true DDOS blocking it locally has little benefit. Unless we advertise the BGP community back to our peers, the traffic will still be hitting the router, with high CPU load and max out our transits. Advertising the community basically blocks the traffic all the way back to the Tier-1 internatio...

Connection Limiting

I am trying to limit the amount of connection users can have open to stop the damage of p2p. I have seen bits on how to implement restrictions so only a small number of connection can be opened with ports over 1024. This is the current config i'm using which is not working. I'm trying to limit the a...

Re: Setting Up NAT with PPPoE Client

I have followed the setting up pppoe client instructions, i can get it to connect and dial in but not get NAT to work to the local address of the unit. The local address is set to 192.168.1.1 while the radius assigns a public IP to the pppoe interface. I need to know how to get them to work.

PPPoe Attributes Question

Greetings all, Long time Star-OS user first time mikrotik. Very impressed thus far with the software on our test board and if we can sort out a few little issues we will probably be swapping most of our distribution boards over to mikrotik and phase out star-os. We have a Test board working one of o...
