Guys, I think I solved it in the past: Make sure the user you use for Dude access has FTP rights (the group the user belongs to)! Hi,
this issue is know since about 4 years. It is a normal behaviour of multilinks in nv2 but not only: I ve find it in other vendors.
From my experience you can mitigate it by:
1) All ethernet interfaces must be 1gbps, without errors.
2) CCQ (wireless) must be >90%

Good luck with nv2.

It is a complete disaster in my 100% mikrotik network. Same speed like nstreme, and clients randomly freezes (you can see them in the reg-list, but no ping, winbox, ...)
Use lastest version of firmware, it solves me a lot of issues. :)

Re: Videogames vs P2P

I did some tests in this week end. They aren’t exhaustive, but I hope useful. I see: UDP: Videogames use small packet (<500bytes), I don’t know if there are some that use >500. Torrent has a “vulnerability”: it don’t use udp packets <500bytes Emule, I remember, uses udp only for service communicatio...

Videogames vs P2P

In QoS mikrotik works well to discern well know services (http, pop, ftp…) from the other unknown. But now the real problem (for us) is recognize videogames traffics from the other unknown, and probability p2p, traffic. Videogames, and all other light services, need low latency and low bandwidth, bu...

Re: Surge protection?

I know a lot of these device cause problems about packet loss. But someone working well: http://www.townet.it/content/view/63/40/lang,it/ I dont ...

Re: Radio description field

Yes, but i must put manually the description for each client (in the right AP).
It is a big work! :(

With the other method I can write this field directly from the cpe's configuration script.

Re: RouterOS connectivity

I had the same problem.
Try to remove "secure mode" from General. It works.
After, you can select "secure mode" without problems.

Radio description field

Like "radioname" field in wireless section, I'd like to have a description field to put notes about configuration version, changes from standard configuration, if the customer has voip service, and other informations. I'm talking about CPE. It will useful if it will possible to view direct...

For us it is an old problem.
With more users than one, web page cannot be displayed, i think.

(Try to reload the page, sometimes it works).

Reset configuration without disable wlan interface

Can we reset device without change any wireless settings?
(with the command "system reset-configuration").

If it is not possible now, are there any chances to see it in the future?

Thanks.

Re: Messengers

Windows messenger has specific ports and servers (but if you use file transfer or voice service it will uses p2p connections).
I think it is the same with yahoo.

For skype try to use L7 filter or, if your custumers use specific devices like skype-phone in their lan, mark traffic from src-address.

Re: Looking PAT

I don't find it. Do you think is in another place? Do you think PAT is a useful thing? I think yes. I worked with scr-nat rule, but I was surprised for the behavior. I need to ensure the src-port of a specific connection is the same after the nat o the same that I want. Example: chain=srcnat action=...
