PPPoE overhead takes about 13 to 15% of your overall bandwidth. So you are well within the expected range.

Bump! any suggestion from anyone on what else to check? like i said, everything is fine when/if i don't have hotspot enabled. My hotspot settings has bandwidth limit set (hence there are dynamic queues existing). I recently started experiencing this disparity.

I am having this same challenge. My WAN is reading 40mb while i am getting 30mb on my LAN. I don't have queues except for the dynamic simple queues generated by hotspot.

Any help would be appreciated.

You can't. It's a RouterOS package, so it has to run within RouterOS. Wew thats gona be a problem, cos i am already using userman and hotspot on a single box and i was just thinking i will be able to transfer all the user database to the new standalone usermanager so that i don't loose my client. How many NATs do you ve there, remember when creating hotspot NAT is automatically setup, so u sld disable the former NAT you have. and make sure u are masqurading behing the public. like 192.....behind ur 82....network and not vise versa.

How many NATs do you ve there, remember when creating hotspot NAT is automatically setup, so u sld disable the former NAT you have. and make sure u are mascurading behing the public. like 192.....behind ur 82....network and not vise versa.

Hi, thanks for replying here is my response Turn OFF DHCP server on cisco and set up static ip on mikrotik from cisco ip range : DHCP is OFF on Cisco, and Static is on Both on 44.194.12.80/29 network. I also expeience this problem (and other problem like; vista users don't get login page)on 2.9.5.1 , i then read somewhere in forum that upgrading is best solution. well, i have leanrt that trying to change the hotspot username and password entries, could mess up things. So i hope that is not the pro? Does it connects when you use the default hotspot page? Maybe you should explain further......
