Re: Network routed with OSPF with 2 default routes

Upgraded to 5beta all routers and remains the same, route in LSA, not in route table, if main route fails, there is no default in routing table.

Network routed with OSPF with 2 default routes

Hello, I have a network, routed with OSPF, I have 2 routers with separate internet connection. I want to have failover, if one internet is down, then to access it through second internet. I have enabled distribute-default if-installed-as-type-2 on each router, set cost to prefer the primary internet...

Re: IGMP Proxy BUG!

Hi, timings are OK, tried decreasing, increasing, but it definitely always timeouts, when directly connected to ethernet port of routerboard, it works fine. When I have this setup [ RB with IGMP proxy ] [ RB without IGMP proxy ] [ eoip ] ----- [ BRIDGE eoip + lan ] ---- iptv STB In debug, i see only...

Re: IGMP Proxy BUG!

But this means it will always forward multicast to that interface, I have total of 350MBps of multicast, so IGMP and JOIN is must have.

Re: IGMP Proxy BUG!

Possibly have found the problem, when I enable IGMP snooping and IGMP Querier on the first switch connected to mikrotik, It starts working - I receive IGMP response from client. When I disable IGMP querier on the switch, I receive only the first packet. Weird is, when I use PIM-SM, i do receive IGMP...

IGMP Proxy BUG!

IGMP proxy has a serious BUG. When client is connected directly to the ethernet port of router, where IGMP proxy is running, it's working OK. But when you insert switch between, even if it is in private VLAN, IGMP only receives first IGMP Join message and then it stops receiving there requests and m...

Re: MULTICAST ROUTING - PIM SSM

Not solved. Mikrotik does not support PIM SSM pith static SSM Maps. Use CISCO.

MULTICAST ROUTING - PIM SSM

Hi, I'm trying to setup PIM SSM with our wholesale IPTV ISP. Upstream ISP runs PIM SSM only, I've read that Mikrotik supports SSM, but I have a problem that it's not working. I have 3.30 version, enabled PIM, added all interfaces to PIM I see neighbor in PIM, interface from upstream provider shows D...

Re: Routerboard 1000U

Hi, I'm testing it for two days as core BGP router. When fully loaded routing table from internet, with average traffic 300Mbps, no firewalling and filtering, the CPU usage is about 40-45%. Used two interfaces, ROS 3.17. In few days I'll connect another peer, so next testing will continue. What make...

Re: BGP + filter - community - routing mark + shaping

Solved, had to use script and address-lists and queue. Script looks like this: :log info "QOS Removing NIX, starting sync." :foreach subnet in [/ip firewall address-list find list=NIX] do { /ip firewall address-list remove $subnet } :local founds ""; :foreach subnet in [/ip route...

BGP + filter - community - routing mark + shaping

Hi, I'm getting BGP routes from my peer, I apply input routing filter, where I match against community ID and set routing mark and then I try to set packet mark based on the routing mark. The routes get filtered OK, they show correct routing mark set, but no mangle rule with set Routing Mark is not ...

just made a test

Hi, boards arrived, so I upgraded from installed 2.9.1 to 2.9.5 and the results are: max UDP full duplex: 28.5/29Mbit/s max TCP full duplex: 23/8 slow cpu on machines generating traffic when changed RBs, it was the same, so I guess CPU was limiting max TCP one-way 29Mbit/s when passing limited traff...

Hi uldis, interesting result. I've ordered 2 routerboards but after many post claiming low throughput of RB with Nstreme2 I'm getting little bit worried. What type of traffic it was(UDP/TCP)? It's bridged or routed? What is the avg latency you get over link when 50% loaded? My goal is to set-up 20Mb...
