Technology regression

It's a shame when things work... I think that's a great way to start a discussion about technological evolution, especially when it results in not meeting the need. I've been out of the Mikrotik loop (wireless) for a few years, so it came as a surprise to me when a long time customer reached out to ...

Re: 23 Miles over water. N?

Did you just put the link up or did you perform a path analysis beforehand? Over water links, especially longer ones, normally suffer from multipath and ducting. If you deploy a single pole link, regardless of polarity, you will experience issues at some point unless you have extremely high endpoint...

I have a couple of 433ah's (v3.30) that just stopped processing marked packets in the tree. Recreating the rules doesn't help, nor does rebooting or power cycling the rb. Wireshark shows the traffic correctly marked, and creating an additional set of queues on ether1 shows the traffic being processe...

Do you need to go from your office, to the node southeast, then west, then northeast to begin distribution? A traditional backhaul would likely serve you best to that point. As far as interconnecting AP's, it might be useful to inject at 2 or 3 AP's with a backhaul link and mesh from there, it reall...

We now deploy 600's at distances over 75m as they are more stable than a 433 on 24. (or I might add, they work where a 433 won't)

If you're trying to save $$$, ripping some GX's or equivalent apart will yield nice sets of filters for you, SMA connectors.....
