Re: MikroTik PWR Line EU - Outdoors [request]

As wireless (the low-power part at least) is integral part of QCA9531 SoC, omitting wireless wouldn't push the price down by much.
Makes sense.

I'd like to see cheaper "base" version without Wifi. Only "remote" PWR-APs should have it. Why have WiFi in first device which is connected near home router?

MT devs,

Is it possible to add ping feature to context menu in DHCP server leases? It's too time consuming to open new terminal window and type ping x.x.x.x every time I need to check if some address is "up".

Re: XBOX Live and ROS 3.0RC13

@normis If there will be another pre-4.6 test build with another bunch of fixes in UPnP then I want to test it if those new bugfixes won't brake Xbox LIVE connection :)

Re: XBOX Live and ROS 3.0RC13

OK guys. I've tested latest pre-4.6 build and now everything works like it should :) Xbox 360 correctly forwards its ports.
So just wait for final ROS v4.6 release.

Re: XBOX Live and ROS 3.0RC13

Normis I've got sniffed file during my Xbox 360 bootup. Where I should send it?
This file may contain some private info from my console so I won't upload it here.

Re: System clock ticks too fast

Still testing, but it looks like this solved clock issue!

I'm testing ROS v4.4 right now on Alix.2D2 platform. Normis, maybe it should be good to disable multi-cpu by default on fresh ROS installs? And maybe add info about it after first login after install in Winbox (just as default config etc.)?

System clock ticks too fast

System clock ticking too fast on x86 platforms bug is present from RouterOS 3.15 till latest 4.5 version. Clock ticks too fast or too slow. There is one workaround. You must disable NTP client and then set date and time manually and finally restart x86 platform by powering it off and on. However dis...

Re: XBOX Live and ROS 3.0RC13

I confirm this. Yesterday I've tried cheap 5 port router based on Ralink 3050 CPU. UPnP works perfectly with Xbox Live. MikroTik please fix it. Some users (like me) have problems with this bug. I've got dynamic IP from my ISP and if I want to manually forward ports for my Xbox 360 I have troubles......

Re: RB600A TVI (interference with TV signal)

We had the same problem but with RB 411 used as 5 GHz CPE. The problem is that interferences were seen on one SAT channel (and this is rather high freq.). After powering up RB 411 they could be seend after few seconds.

Re: RB 750 ethernet lock up

OK. I'll do more tests of my 750 and I'll test another 750.
Another weird thing happend when LAN1 (acting as a WAN) turned off by itself. The load was pretty small and I really don't know why it happend.

Re: RB 750 ethernet lock up

Firmware is not the point. AR7240 has built-in switch right? So Atheros must provide proprietary drivers to this chip. I guess that MT and Ubi uses the same files provided by Atheros.

I'm asking if anyone has encountered this problem and maybe someone from MT will tell if locking up exists in R750.

RB 750 ethernet lock up

Anyone noticed repetitive problems with ethernet ports locking up on RB750? It uses AR7240, so same chip as Ubiquiti AirMax which also had many problem with ethernet port locking up with first firmware versions. My RB750 had already few lock ups. It happens only with heavy load on port. Today I've t...

Got RB 750 as home router and RB 411 as 5 GHz CPE. Both have UPnP enabled and Xbox Live connects without any problems. Ports are forwarded automatically and properly.

This is addressed to Normis.
Are you going to make 433 or 493 boards with gigabit ethernets?

Re: 411R disappointment?

You don't have to design if reference designs are available. Sorry but R52 card is not made by MT. This is popular design avail in several brands like MT, Sparklan, Compex, Signamax, Emitech, etc. Those cards look the same, just different logo on them. All the time I thought that this card (R52) wil...

Re: 411R disappointment?

Thanks for the pdf

IMO it does not look that bad. It could make nice mesh device along with R5H card once ROS supports mesh.
Not bad? This is VERY bad. In Poland MT is mainly used with 5 GHz as a CPE. Expensive and not worth 2.4 GHz CPE? No, thank you.

This is a shot in foot by MT.

411R disappointment?

My distributor just e-mailed me that RB 411R is on it's way. Great news I have thought. Well... I was wrong. Looks like the price isn't that good as it should be AND the integrated wireless card will _ONLY_ operate in b/g! Is this some kind of joke you guys from Mikrotik? If this is true then please...
