could it be low FZ? There is another CPE connected to same AP - runs cheap 29dBi e-zy.net diecast grid, only that CPE have ~30000kbps p throughput and its ~7km from AP. currently cant set panel instead of dish. Current -75dBi and P Throughput is 13000Kbps (above). thinking to order XR5.

I did alingment, there shouldnt be problem. AP uses R52 as well. What u mean by using panel? Panel is connected to same AP only distance is ~5km. Only one im not quite sure is FZ. :) AP ir 43m high, 30dBi parabolic dish ~7m.

yes u can use your 5Ghz antennas for point to point connection from building A to building B without any problems. 5Ghz has less interference, only u need clear LOS.

:D i think your laptop wlan card doesnt know such a standart as 802.11n, and thats your problem. select AP band to 2.4Ghz b/g and i think u should be good..

Its important if u have lot of clients who downloads large amount of data. Im running 18 mangle rules and queue tree for Qos and everything works nice. Users now can play online games with normal latency and enjoy online media (ect. youtube, soundcloud ..) without laags. But Anyway its not the same ...

Yes u will be able to use 2.9.30 backup in 3.30.
No u dont need to buy new key. Just after u will install 3.30 got to System>License and press Update License Key. After update bootloader

Then u're good to go for 4.15 ROS

No need to worry, Just do backup in case something will go wrong. Download ROS 3.30 and u're good to go (have same boards). After 3.30 u can upgrade 4.15 (Last stable ROS) and u should not lost any settings. Dont forget to update KEY before run 4.15 upgrade. Same with Bootloader (Latest for RB532 2....

RB532 issue with ROS 5.0xRC

Facing some wierd issue with RB532 + Compex WLM54AGP A6 (Atheros AR5413) cards. Now running ROS 4.13 and have no problem. But with ROS 5.05RC get very high packet loss and disconnecting form AP.. :shock: No differece 2.4Ghz or 5Ghz, same on both cards.

P.S. FW up to date (2.18)

Have some problem, but dont know what cause it. Daytime my cpe connection to p2mp is going down and have 100% packet loss to AP (~25/30% Tx/Rx). Now everything is okey (~90/95% Tx/Rx). CCQ was 100% day before and now again its 100%. Maybe u're right about interference. As far i checked - noone was on same band. Its 5Ghz bandwidth.

All depends on LOS (Line of sight), antennas, radio cards and frequency. i've rb433uah with r52+29dBi parabolic dishes and link between em is over 12km and still have CCQ 100% (-66/-68).

It is used for ACK timeout setting, mikrotik tries from time to time to chet and set ACK timeout, it should be used on p2p links, and can be turned off on APBRIDGE mode if you use that mode for connecting clients to antenna.

Hi all. Have some weard situation. Instal 2.4Ghz link over 4km. Everything would be okey, only speed is not i was expected. I assume speed should be >25Mbps but nop - all i get on Rx (UDP) is ~18Mbps and ~8Mbps on Tx. Any ideas? Even when AP is idle (noone, except me, connected) and signal is 54/54M...

AP is disconnecting or CPE? If CPE, it's normal when CPE has cranky signal strenght. I have same problem with one CPE.

I know, thats because u have no clear view from point A to point B. I you have 2.4Ghz link and few branches on the way, it will not affect on your link so much as it will be on 5Ghz.

:D cmon RB532A can run nice and smooth without any problems, only feature i miss is there is no Gbps interface. Sure i agree, MT should realise some cheep soho router with mimo and few Lan ports..

I think the cards are interfering (use more spacing between channels), you should change to 5Ghz for main link and 2.4ghz for clients. You have one card in 2412(20mhz) and one 2437(40Mhz), that means you use overlapping channels. go and check 93.188.14.7 at registration tab 00156D656B3E Signal sect...

yup, i think it does. I have same problem with CPE running UB5. After UB5 replacement to R52 everything was fine. My advice would be, try to replace XR2 on 93.188.14.11 and then check what happens with P Troughtput and Tx CCQ.

I think normis mean RB411AR with build in 100mW 2.4GHz radio. Course if u need more LAN ports, you should use RB532 or RB532A + RB564 daughter board. Only it's not cheap SOHO router.

I can get Tx over 30mbps from 93.188.14.7 ----> 93.188.14.11 without any problems. But problem appear when running Rx test, it can't hold over 30Mbps more then few seconds. I think it's radio bug or some interefernce between your AP's. And Tx/Rx @ -55/-55 dBm is very nice signal strenght. You shoud ...

should i ask what values u add? ppp profile menu has the tx-bit-rate and rx-bit-rate values, so add values u need for each pppoe client. By default there is bps (bits per second) if u wanna give ppp client 1Mbps on Tx/Rx set it to 1M Tx Rate and 1M Rx rate.

yup, last night R52H was unstable. Tx speed was >22Mbps, but Rx speed nearly <1Mbps. But it perhaps was antenna fault.

Yup.. MT card isn't for inceased rates. At the moment my second CPE operates with R52H and it has much better sensitivity compared to Compex WLM54AG-23. Running Compex with 1mW i have 18/18Mbps, but with R52H i have 54/54Mbps with default rates. So no need to increase Tx power. MT rullz by defaults.

cmon dud, 20Mbps we can run @ 4.7km links by using 22dBi 5Ghz flat panel antennas with overall CCQ >80%. U should try align better it, couz Dual 5G-23D has rather narrow beam width (9°V,9.5°H)

why u think it's cpu bug? it can be ect. condensate in antena, connectors. But anyway /system routerboard settings>edit: cpu-mode and change power-saver to regular then Ctrl+o. and it should be regular as well. No need to reboot.

Okey, i read about nstreame and ros 4.3, i already have downgraded boards on both sides. Will see, will this work better then 5Ghz turbo. by the way 24dbi gri dish is enough for 2.2 miles?

all depends, how many client u are up to. We have several AP connected in WDS and we had some problems with high latency. Otherway, everything works fine for us. 11 access points and 179clients.

U can't access RB through winbox, IP telnet? I would recommend u to use Netinstall. But if u are able to access your RB through console, telnet or winbox, just use command [admin@Mikrotik] >system package downgrade

At the moment TX/RX Signal Strenght is 56/62dBm, TX/RX CCQ 100/100%, Overall CCQ 100%. AP max troughtput is 54Mbps, and i don't have any limits by ISP.

DHCP error

Hello. I tried to upgrade my ROS from 2.9.51 to 3.30, but after upgrade my DHCP server goes crazy. It disconnect my PC ( over ethernet) and refuses to give me IP. And PC takes automatic private IP, not 192.168.0.20 as always, but somthing like 164.172.152.254. Pool are the same (192.168.0.10-192.168...

Hello Have a problem. My latency is unstable, it jump up and down. When i test my speed at speedtest.net, average latency on country servers are 20ms, outside country 40-55ms.
