Re: Switching with RouterOS / CRS Questions

Ok, I figured out why I am getting slow speeds. It's a 10mbit port as part of the switch group (VoIP adapter). Not figured out how to fix it as of yet.

Re: Switching with RouterOS / CRS Questions

Ok, something weird... I am seeing RX/TX overflows and pauses between the RB450G and CRS. I managed to temporarily fix this, presumably there is some sort of bug. In /interface ethernet switch vlan, I attempt to set isolation-profile=isolated (through winbox). Upon hitting apply it immediately switc...

Re: Switching with RouterOS / CRS Questions

Please let us know what you are trying to do, and what didn't work exactly. Hi Normis, I have attached a badly drawn diagram which should explain what I'm trying to do. Essentially I just want 2x trunk ports and a couple of access ports. CRS.png The example on the Wiki just doesn't seem to work. I ...

Re: Buy license for RouterOS 6

Hello,

I would like an official answer from MT on this one. I purchased a L4 licence many, many moons ago - around version 3 time - but never activated it. If I activate it on version 6 (release) will it have upgrade rights to 7? What about on 6 (release candidate) - up to 7.x too?

Re: L2TP problem

Oh it still exists. I get it weekly if not more and it's very frustrating. It fails to remove other stuff like dynamic bridges too. I get this with L2TP clients and I'm also sure I've had it with PPP and VRRP. Been affected by this for well over a year and still no fix...

Re: possible bug 1:1 NAT address pool setting on hotspot ign

Well, my previous solution has reached it's limits now. It cannot scale anymore and RIPE will not approve more IPs as it's too wasteful. MikroTik, will you please look into implementing this? If you can do it for unauthed clients then please - an option for authed clients would be great too! The sim...

Hi guys,

From some brief this appears to be working OK now in 5.2

Can anyone else confirm this is fixed?

Hello,

This sounds exactly like what is happening to a friend. We'll try to reproduce on 5.2!

Re: VRRP and IPv6

Did you ever solve the checksum error?

I'm experiencing similar. I temporarily resolved this by removing VRRP (with reboots required between steps) and adding back with exactly the same settings.

However, it started acting funny again and now back to square 1 :(

Everyone who has unresolved problems listed in this topic, please email support to request latest test build of RouterOS so we know if your particular issue is fixed.
I did e-mail in (twice) regarding the port flapping issue and no reply at all. I did this on the 3rd of this month.

Re: 5.0RC5 Ethernet ports flapping on two different RB-750s

I can confirm that this port flapping issue is fixed when downgrading to 4.16!

Definitely a 5.x issue only :(

I'd be happy with using 4.16 if VRRP worked...

No NTP in RB750 combined package

Hello MikroTik, One small annoyance I always encounter with upgrading to a new version is having to then re-install the ntp package to run an ntp client. It is particularly annoying to have no ntp client where the clock resets on every boot... I thought it used to be included in the combined package...

Re: possible bug 1:1 NAT address pool setting on hotspot ignored

I got fed up with the back and forth and instead just got a public /24 to share between 3 hotspots and disabled 1:1 NAT instead.

Not ideal because of IP wastage from unauthenticated clients but it is better than nothing :)

Re: possible bug 1:1 NAT address pool setting on hotspot ignored

The "adress-pool" fields in hotspot and hotspot user profiles dynamically creates 1:1 NAT rules on the fly. An example would be two hotspot interfaces each with their own external subnets: hotspot #1: 1.1.1.1/24 hotspot #2: 2.2.2.2/24 Now, say we have 2 pools set up: external-pool-1: 1.1.1...

possible bug 1:1 NAT address pool setting on hotspot ignored

Hello, I am having an issue where the 1:1 NAT address pool settings are ignored when set on hotspot. It works fine and well for trial users, but for static users where address pool in their user profile is set to 'none' it does not take default settings from the hotspot and instead the user is logge...

I do not see address-list in hotspot profiles.

Or anywhere apart from adding static leases!

The simplest explanation of what I desire to do would be for the following options in ip hotspot user profile:
