I have implemented this. However for some reasons my sip trunks seems to be having trouble with registering.

Could I be missing something the would cause the SIP packets or protocol to not be caught by that mangle rule?

How can I bind a certain IP / mac address to a hotspot user so that they do not have to physically login every time?

I know you can bypass by a mac address but then that data is not accounted for.

Is there a way and if so how do I go about doing it? This would make my life allot easier.

I need to achieve this, as I am routing my SIP trunks out of a different gateway, and they require a host name so that they can reverse connect.

So ie my one script needs to update the VoIP gateway, and the other script the normal internet gateway.

I can try disable the LCD.

I did notice the other day, all the Ethernet ports are one switch 1.

But when I look under switch settings it names it as this (switch 1 - cpu)

I am getting a average cpu usage of about 9% to 11% on my CRS125-24g-1s.,

Issue is that is not doing anything? I have one lan cable plugged into to to access winbox.

I figured out that I just have to put in usb1 instead of serial0 and it works great.

This is the best thing ever. I just cannot wait to play. What a great combo i'm so glad that Mikrotik works with Ardruino.

Ok so i think i am going to disable both pc's firewalls and test again.

I can ping 192.168.1.1 when my gateway is set to 1.1 and when i tracrt 10.5.50.1 it goes to RB1 but then gets lost. The route looks correct and has an 'A' next to it for active.

RB2 needs a default route to point to RB1 else traffic going to ip addresses on the internet will be dropped by RB2 since it doesn't know what to do with the traffic. When you enable hotspot on router C it will want to have a dhcp on that router. That could cause conflicts between two dhcp servers.

I am having the same problem.

Im using v4.15

It was working fine before, but i had to change the ip address that it was using and now it wont want to work with any ip or nothing,

It just keeps saying RADIUS server not responding.

google must just change it then.

So now how do i set tls=yes like globaly,

Cause i cant do anything with email besides when i manualy type in to send a message,

i tried every possibily possible to man.

I was doing this in winbox.

If u put in smtp.gmail.com in smtp server field, it automatically resolves it for you. (where u would usualy put the ip)

Set your "from" email address to something sensible, but it does not need to be a real email address that exists,

i changed them to make more sense on the forum.

I just redid it, i delete the original config as it was not working.

Do you have a src-nat rule for each group specifying the outgoing interface?

I had problems with my isp cause they used a special MRU and MTU:

Yea, i was thinking about that, Cause currently i also set the speed limit in raduis, and that seems to work well. But from my understanding of using queue trees with pcq is that say there is only 2 users on line they get more than what they usualy would get??? So PCQ is a good thing if u can get it...

I did that,

I booted from ethernet, and then netinstalled the new firmware

and it seemes to work.


Thanks so much, I have learnt allot about the console, its quite easy, Im busy fixing an old rb111 that i found on a mountain somewhere, loading routeros on it again cause its key was lost.

ok ok, i figured it out,

In putty i choes serial then chose com2 and click connect.

Its not working but i also noticed the light on the usb-com converter is not on?

Yes they are:

one router, plugged into modem and switch ( all pc connect to the one switch and then intern the same router)

I was bust playign with ques yesterday and i noticed some thing.

I am trying to mark packets under mangle in firewall.

I am marking them by src IP LISt.
but it only mangle the computer UPLOAD and not the download?

So i tried dst address list and that didnt mark anything?

What am i doing wrong?

Could it not be that their Old connection was not termintaed and its still running while the client has created a new session?


Cause in the network every device has its own account, so its not connecting from 2 places???
