Re: prerouting mangle vs static route

Hi, to make it simpler. let's just ignore the static ip for a moment. I just want to route traffic to some public ip's over ISP 2. If I do it via static route, it works great. If I do it over mangle, it's slow as hell. I currently have about 10 dst-addresses where I need to go over isp 2. Having Man...

prerouting mangle vs static route

I have two ISP providers, one offering me a static IP. I want to use this static IP provider for servers where I need to have a static IP due to firewall restrictions. All is fine if I create a static route but I though I could create a firewall list and use mangle to keep the routing table less pol...

[SOLVED] Routing some traffic over sstp

If anyone else is facing this issue, the solution is in this blog post I found: https://blog.linitx.com/load-balancing-multiple-internet-connections/ First thing to note is that by default, bridge interfaces were designed for transparently bridging Layer 2 traffic and therefore it is logical that th...

Routing some traffic over sstp

I'm fighting with this issue since yesterday. I have a DSL Provider to which I connect over PPoE, then I have a VPN Provider to which I connect over SSTP through which I want to route only some traffic. As an example I took one server and my laptop IP and set up a mangle to route the traffic through...

I just encountered the problem described here: http://forum.mikrotik.com/viewtopic.php?p=315010#p315010 Currently running RouterOS 5.24 As soon as the openVPN Client connects, the address is marked as invalid, pptp starts connecting again resulting in "could not add address: already have such a...

[SOLVED] Re: WiFi RB951-2n / RB751U-2HnD -> unicast key tim

Thanks for the hint. The solution was a comment made in the thread you mentioned. The other trouble is that iOS "remembers" the encryption settings of a network (SSID) when it discovers it, and doesn't revise those settings if they have changed. So if you change the encryption settings, yo...

a different solution would be to use a RB750G and plug in a external Wireless AP.
