Re: SNMP timeouts and polling issue on ROS v7.6.

The issue is still persistent, which made me result to setting up an x86 boxes using Epyc CPUs. I can confirm the SNMP graphing gaps are gone. So it must be a CPU time prioritisation in ROS and SNMP is given a low priority.

I have several routers (1036, 1072 and x86)on ROS V7.6 and I did notice since updating to v7.6 SNMP polling on Librenms and Cacti is no longer working or works intermittently on high CPU loaded router. Interface graphing is mostly affected where nothing gets graphed anymore. Has anyone experienced t...

Two questions:

1) Are you injecting routes when the PPPoE session is established
2) Are you authenticating locally or via RADIUS

Dynamically added routes in PPPoE can cause a lot of problems if they aren't correct.

Re: Implementing radius server failover

I have solved that using mysql replication on both servers but the underlying problem is switching over in case the main radius server stops working. is it master/master replication?.. then set "accounting-backup: no" on both servers - in that case you should get authentication failover, ...

Re: Implementing radius server failover

I have tried that a couple of times and I noticed from logs that if the main server is off customers get RADIUS server not responding when trying to login and those already logged I get RADIUS accounting request not sent: no response.
Is it a bug in the radius package or what could be wrong? Anyone ?
