I'm getting "OspfNeighbor { router-id: X.X.X.X state: Full } received wrong LS Ack" in my v7.1.1 routers from my v6.48.6 routers.
It seems like restarting the OSPF instance on the v6 routers fixes it for a while.

We are simulating the primary connection being down and we are seeing packet loss across the link. As long as the bonding interface is active, we see packet loss. As soon as we remove the bonding interface, there is no packet loss. The VLAN interface is going through several switches. Any idea what ...
Siklu 2200 comes with 4 x 1G ports (2 fiber, 2 copper). Yes, you can get the full 2 Gbps out of it. we are using balance rr bonding. You need to set the radio bridge mode to Pipe Unique FDB.
Today while configuring a new BGP, I setup the peer before the filters. Next thing I know, my entire network is down. Took forever to fix. The problem was that my OSPF on a downstream router was set to redistribute BGP routes. I realize that putting 620,000 routes into every route is a bad idea. Is ...
I have a CCR1036-12G-4S that has never shown more than 3% CPU. After upgrading from 6.35 to 5.37.1, CPU is going crazy and packets are being dropped. Tried upgrading to the latest RC and down to 6.36.4 and the problem continues. There is no excessive traffic or high PPS. Anyone know what could be ca...
I have a licensed link backed up with a 5GHz link using active backup bonding. The problem is that if I use mii, if the licensed link goes down, it does not failover to the 5GHz link. However, if I switch to arp, the failover works correctly but drops packets and will drop the connection. Any idea w...
I'm able to reproduce the problem by creating an L2TP/IPSec server on a Mikrotik router as well. The server shows the connection but the packets are not getting back to the client. Any ideas?
Trying to connect a Windows machine to a Sonicwall with IPSec through a Mikrotik running NAT and it doesn't connect. If we swap another router in, it connects right away. We aren't running IPSec on the Mikrotik and the router has no firewall rules. Any idea what could be blocking IPSec from going th...
We are seeing the exact same thing. v6.12 and AF v2.0. Happening on both an internal ethernet port and
on an sfp port with a Planet ethernet SFP. Tried it with flow control disabled and enabled on both devices
with the same result.
I have an x86 running v5.26 and NTP Server. However, it is not working. The NTP client on the machine is getting the time correctly from public NTP servers and has the correct time. However, when I have a v6.7 CCR trying to get time from it, I receive "server-not-synchronized." Anyone know...
I'm tagging BGP/OSPF traffic in the firewall with mangle rules. I show the counters increasing on the mangle rules showing the traffic is tagged. However, in queue tree, I'm looking for the tagged packets, but getting nothing. Mangle Rules /ip firewall mangle add action=mark-connection chain=prerout...
I never seem to be able to get the following to work. If the Mtik is the device's default gateway, it works fine. But when it isn't, it doesn't. Any ideas appreciated. Public IP -> Mtik -> Device -> Default Gateway on another network Public IP of Mtik: 1.1.1.1 Private IP of Mtik: 10.0.0.254 Private ...
We have an issue where SNMP monitoring breaks when the route
in is different from the route out. This is mainly due to OSPF sending
traffic from our servers in a different way than the shortest path out.
Installed our first CCR this morning. Plug in one ethernet cable, all is good. Switch over the remaining cables from our RB1100AHx2 and the CCR starts rebooting. Remove cables, CCR stays up. CCR has RC6 on it. There is no watchdog IP address on this router. Power cables were swapped, different power...
Your instructor is partially correct. Yes, a routerboard with the proper memory supports full BGP. However, a basic entry-level RB does not have the memory to store all of the routes.
We have OpenWRT running as a client and it's dropping packets to the i5 router running v5.16. It's getting it's IP via DHCP and pinging from the client to the router has terrible packet loss. Tried both the PCNET and e1000 driver with the same results: root@OpenWrt:/# ping 10.38.210.1 PING 10.38.210...
We have setup VRRP between two locations with a Ubiquiti wireless link in between. The problem is that the backup router always becomes master after about 30 seconds. Backup router is 5.14 and the master is 5.12 but the backup side started at 4.5 and upgrades didn't fix the problem. Once the backup ...
We went from an X86 router (v5.8) to an RB1100x2/AH (v5.12). OSPF was running on a port of the X86 connected to a switch. When we put in the RB1100, we removed the switch and setup a bridge to bridge the two switch ports together. While OSPF sees the neighbors, the neighbors aren't getting the route...
In the config, you'll notice the static address on the client for VLAN 2. I can ping and get to the static address, DHCP just isn't working over the VLAN. RB750 Server Config: > inter print detail Flags: D - dynamic, X - disabled, R - running, S - slave 0 R name="ether1" type="ether&q...
I am running V5.7 and have VLAN 2 configured on ether2. There is an IP address on VLAN 2 and one on ether2. A DHCP server is setup on both the VLAN and ether2. I have another Mikrotik plugged into ether2 with VLAN2 set and DHCP client setup on the VLAN. It will not pull an IP address for some reason...
iPad and iPhones do pop-up page but nothing comes up. We get an error that says, "Error Opening Page", "Hotspot login could not open the page because the server stopped responding."

We are having the same problem. We are using V5.2 but are running the hotspot on a VLAN. Sites in the walled garden go through just fine but going through the hotspot doesn't take you anywhere. I'm trying to setup router filters on V5.0 and V5.0rc10 with BGP and they aren't working. When I try to limit EVERYTHING, I'm still getting all the routes coming through. What am I doing wrong? We are seeing problems with the RB1100 and 4.16. It's in the 4.16 released thread. Sent a supout to Mikrotik and then sent them a layout of our network but haven't heard anything back yet.
Currently we use simple queues to limit bandwidth for each subscriber. We add a target address (typically a /32), Max Limit upload/download, Limit At, queue type and priority. Interface is left at all and priority is adjusted based on type of customer. (Residential, business, etc.) While we have fas...
