Re: chateau 5G boot loop- netinstall not working

@chanchan

Use Netinstall 7.12.x and reinstall.

Then I found another issue that causes the unit not to boot sometimes, I set the CPU frequency from auto to lowest and never a problem.

Chateau Disk Space

Hi Members. I'm evaluating the Chateau RBD53G-5HacD2HnD running 7.1beta3 (development) in order to use LTE. My issue is that I cannot make a backup - which I expect to be somewhere between 1000KiB and 1200KiB You can see by my screenshot that the device has 16MB flash storage and only 1068KiB free a...

Terminal Server ?

Hi,
We run The Dude client in a Terminal Server - since the update to 6.46.4 we just get "getting stuff" (Window Server 2016 - fully patched)
I have a VM with Windows Server 2016 Fully Patched and The Dude works fine ...
Anyone else having this issue ?

Re: How to enable mikrotik broadcast 802.11d country code?

As an example see document below. "The Cisco Unified IP Phone 9971 requires World mode (802.11d) to determine which channels are legally allowed for any given country" Then we thought that we could simply set the phone to "US" and it wouldn't require it, turns out that this is no...

Re: How to enable mikrotik broadcast 802.11d country code?

I am sure Normis, we've had to remove the Mikrotik Wireless for a number of customers using Cisco Wireless SIP handsets because of this.
It specifically states in the documentation - we are in the APAC region

Re: How to enable mikrotik broadcast 802.11d country code?

So all those people who want to connect a Cisco phone to a Mikrotik cannot because the Cisco phone requires that the Country Code be transmitted

@mondychan
Tips ...
1. Try running as administrator
2. If running on a Terminal Server, close all other Dude Sessions

Re: The Dude, v6.36rc test builds.

OK Just to clarify

Update from rc13 (working but with 100% CPU issue) to rc16 using built in package upgrade, since upgrade to rc16 Dude Client now reports "Login failed: invalid username or password (6)"

Re: The Dude, v6.36rc test builds.

Thanks for continuing to develop DUDE

Question, I'm finding that DUDE on multicore routers runs only a single core at 100% - even with MultiCPU checked - tired on various models.

Anyone have a solution ?

Re: How to enable mikrotik broadcast 802.11d country code?

Hi,

Would be great to see 802.11d in Australia
Problem for us is that a Cisco Wireless Sip phone requires 802.11d to operate (world mode phones)

This loyal Mikrotik customer would be very excited to see 802.11d added soon

Re: Site-to-Site L2TP

Hi Imations Probably some more information needed as far as rules but from the single entries you made, each rule may require a DST-ADDRESS, this will ensure that internal clients don't get DST Natted Also, not sure why you would even need DST-NAT if you're running L2TP ? (unless Access from the int...

Re: Without DHCp server

Hi Nirmal
Yes, you can install the Mikrotik without using DHCP
Obviously, you'll need to set the static address of the Router to the same gateway as statically configured on your Network Clients.
That's the best answer I can give without some more detailed information.

Update : Since reverting to 5.25 / 3.07, eth does not drop every 1 hour (on the 15th minute)
Ping does not drop occasional packet

Re: v6.0 released

Upgraded one of my test RB2011's before rollout to customers V6.0 FW 3.08, noticed that it started to drop occasional ping (on LAN) (monitored by dude)
Can see one of the eth interfaces going up and down exactly on the hour (15th minute) in the log
Was previously on 5.25 - no issue

Re: ipkg ?

thanks again
Sorry for all the n00b questions

So what format do these images need to be ?
Is it simply a matter of something like dd if=/ of=my.img and uploading ?
is there a specification that these images must meet to operate in Metarouter

Re: ipkg ?

thanks for the prompt reply, I'm guessing the question that I'm asking is that whoever complied the image for OpenWRT downloadable from your website perhaps intentionally left out this feature ? if so? are the implications for the router ?

Hi Mikrotikers ! I've been using the product for a long time but have only today ventured into the Metarouter menu :) I've setup OpenWRT using the "default" image from http://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/Manual:Metarouter. How do I install additional packages ? I cannot find ipkg ?? Thanks for a...
