Hi Team, Original post you link to on hsnetworkmanager is mine. That was in Feb, it died down over a few months (probably COVID) but now that we're cranking back up for xmas it's starting up again. Re: more gateways?

Hi, I'm interested in implementing such a setup as this, however, I'd like to confirm a few things before I go making a mess :-) I have 5 interfaces in my MT 2.9.48 192.168.1.0/24 - Internal LAN 192.168.2.0/24 - DMZ 192.168.3.0/24 - Testing DMZ (now new gateway network ) 192.168.4.0/24 - Wireless ne...

Re: Satellite and RADIUS Timeouts

Just to let everyone know this is resolved. I increased the RADIUS timeout to 3s.

Re: acces internal webserver over public ip from internal lan

I have a similar but different problem. I have four interfaces on my firewall, the address range 192.168.2.0/24 is my DMZ with 8 servers in it. If I come in from any of the other 3 interfaces I can get to my webservers via the nat. http://www.example.com will resolve EXT IP. --> Internal IP 192.168....

Satellite and RADIUS Timeouts

Howdy all, I've recently taken one of my Mikrotik Hotspots (3 actually) into a remote location that has internet provided via Satellite. We Auth to freeRADIUS and use Viktors most excellent Radius Manager. However, new managers on site have just turned up and have told us about people returning our ...

Re: Dude 3.0 beta7 service hangs/stop monitoring

Hey Guys same issue, wouldn't switch back to Nagios though, too much hassle ( I know it's come along way) but I like the dude. It's important to remember that the "b" = Beta. However, would be nice ot have some more feedback from the Mikrotik Guys, I'm gonna try not running it as a service...

Re: Spambots

I've run it on my "Supernode" which will catch all Hotspots, I'll see how it goes. I'm dubious about running such scripts on my firewall, last time I ran a similar item I got too many false positives and had some grumpy customers... However, after my clamav had a panic attack last night I'...

Re: Spambots

Hey Guys Thanks!!! Forepoint, I'm gonna try that out today, hopefully it will help get me off the block lists. Can I safely just add this to my firewall / permimiter device, or am I better off adding to each of my radios (50 Hotspots) ? I'm also gonna trawl the forum for auto backup and update scrip...

Spambots

Hey everyone, I hope I'm not doubling up, but I couldn't find any relevant posts... I have some issues on my hotspot network. I'll give you some history first. First we re-directed all email through to our isps mailserver and told our customers to turn of SMTP auth as we were trusted ip. However, a ...

Re: Free Hotspot user time limitation

Howdy, We're having issues taking payments from redirection outside of our walled garden. I.E. 1. User trials. Likes the service and goes to sign up. 2. Pays via our local payment gateway 3. RE-directs to third party site for confirmation (i.e. http://www.mycardsecure.com) 4. then back to our local ...

More Wine DUDE?

I've got Dude running fine in Wine on Debian Etch. I'm sure there should be little hassle on most Wine Systems. Problems though... 1. The network map I use (PNG of my town) displays fine, but redraw is slow. 2. Dynamic items in Network map (such as load, Disk, Traffic) doesn't display, perhaps a red...

Locustworld MeshAP and Mikrotik

Anyone got experience of both? I'm looking at moving from MeshAP to Mikrotik and would like to know if I can reuse geode SC1100 boards (no luck thus far). Also, benefits things you miss? I read a post from surfnet that it made life 100 times better, I'd believe that as I'm having no end of issues wi...

Geode SC1100

Howdy, I'm currently using MeshAP and am having some issues with suppport and getting it to work with Aradial Radius. While i'm waiting for support I thought I'd see if ... 1. Does Mikrotik RouterOS work on the Geode SC1100? 2. Does mikrotik work with Aradial Radius ? Looking forward to some answers...
