Re: v6.21.1 released

Normis? Clearly you can see I'm not the only one who thinks this. There is a real problem that needs to be solved with MT's methods of releasing firmware. MT also needs to absolutely STOP releasing hardware that is dependent on BETA level firmware (v6 is BETA, don't even try calling it stable). This...

1:1 NAT issue

Hello, Perhaps I am not understanding this correctly. Our network has 100 internal clients running on a 192.168.1.0/24 subnet. We have a /30 from our ISP assigned to the router. We have another /29 from our ISP that is routed to our /30. (For example it is 1.1.1.0/29) I run NAT on the router for all...

Ideal settings for PTP link with SXT radios for maximum mbps

I am testing a pair of SXT radios for a PTP bridge... So far the maximum throughput I can achieve in a 20mhz channel is 35-37mbps TCP. Re: OSPF on 4.16 Stable?? (RB450G and RB1100)

Thanks! I'll be avoiding that one for sure :)

The RB-1100s are finicky as hell. Not to mention there's some issue with the chipsets for ports 1-10.

Right now our RB-1100s are useless except for ports 11-13, and I'm afraid to upgrade them to anything until it gets sorted out.

Re: PPTP VPN and external Radius Attributes

The only things needed as far as I know is local and remote addresses. In the profile for the PPTP server, set a local address to be assigned to the server... Then in your RADIUS set the framed-ip-address attribute to whatever address you'd like the client to land on. Chances have it it's the local ...

Re: RADIUS AAA Not Accurate... Any updates?

BUMP. MT Anyone? I have submitted this to support already like 2 months ago with no useful answer (I don't have the ticket number any more).

This is a confirmed issue according to what I was told from MT, but no news on a fix or progress.

Re: PPPOE Usage Limit

Be careful when using external RADIUS. There is a problem with MT AAA that does not send correct usage statistics to the RADIUS during unknown conditions. I have referenced this in several topics and have asked MT for updates on this problem without any answers. It exists and is hard to find, but fo...

OSPF on 4.16 Stable?? (RB450G and RB1100)

Hello all, Just wondering if anyone else is running OSPF on 4.16 with RB450G and RB1100 boards without any troubles. I've hit so many firmware bumps with OSPF breaking that I've frozen all of our upgrades for months in hopes that things smooth out. Has anyone else had experience with this that can s...

Re: QoS - Butch Evans - anyone using his script?

200$ would be worth it if he would implement it, ensure it works as specified, and kept it up to date. Also for that price he better be consulting you on what hardware to run it on to do the number of users you need. In the end all it's doing is traffic/pattern matching and you can do the same or ge...

RADIUS AAA Not Accurate... Any updates?

Hello, There was a problem mentioned a few weeks ago about RADIUS AAA not being accurate (The MT sending BOTH a cumulative and/or a reset usage value during high activity). It was acknowledged but there hasn't been any updates on the situation. I see there is a RADIUS CoA fix in the new firmware, bu...
