Re: PtP 17GHz with Alcoma MP vs Saf Lumina

we use many Alcomas and they work great, exactly as fas as Alcoma declares. So if you buy for example MP360 link and Alcoma sais it will bridge 386Mbit , than it will. So this is what i like.

Not like 1,4Gbit Airfiber runnig max 300Mbit duplex or 400Mbit siklu running 150Mbit duplex

I think your setting is wrong. If you select Frequency 6040MHz you need to add this frequency on other side to Scan List. -79/-75dB is not a good signal level. We like to see -50 to -55dB as perfect link and to -61dB as acceptable link. Everything over 70dB is wrong for us.

Re: 802.11N comparation

I am talking about actual. I don't go by over the air rates.
Actual what? Actual BTest on Mikrotik or real data download using this link ?
How you achieve 150Mbit on 100Mbit ETH interface ?

2 Dallas: You are still talking about theretical troughput readed from some testengine. Try to download some real files trough this link. You will see the difference.

Re: 802.11N comparation

2 dallas: And how do you test it ? If you use the BTest on Mikrotik 2 Mikrotik makes 120MBit udp simplex on single chain on my setup - this is irelevant. If i use BTest on dual chain it makes over 240Mbit siplex or 117Mbit duplex but again UDP BTest is irelevant. The troughput is different from this.

Re: RB600 and power options voltage level

If we need to run RB600 or RB800 on lower voltage that suports on poe, we use pasive poe splitter. Easy way. But if i can advise you, ill not use so low voltage, better you use 2x12V becuase you have lower curent and more room over the lowest possible voltage.

802.11N comparation

Hi, i am very long time trying to get best from new 802.11n technology using Mikrotik. There is very noticeable improvement in version 5.4 generaly. It looks like it has better CCQ and holds higher data rates. Looks like it better understands what other site sends. Using 2x433AH + R52Ncards + very p...

on 6km link using R52 cards and 23dBi antenas ? i would expect -63dB signal level So if you have so low signal, ill ask why ? Are the antenas usable for this 5180MHz band ? Did you tryed another cards (another R52) or another type of antenas? If everything is OK the calculations are very accurate, n...

Thank you for answer. Why does it work on combination of R52card and R52N card using chain1, and does not on two R52N cards using standart 802.11a modulation? My idea was that the chain0 is like leading or controling and the chain1 is something like follow-up information for room multiplex and more ...

Good result. How far it was ? Signal levels ? Configuration ? 2chain or 1chain , 20 or 40Mhz width ? Its would be first time for me to see 2chain stable link. May be we are doing something wrong, but using 1 chain we got always very nice stable links on 20MHz od 40Mbjt channel, but something is alwa...

Can't help you much then, NV2 package does some strange stuff with signal levels and noise levels when you have a value entered into the noise floor threshold. The other thing I notice about the NV2 package is that at idle the CCQ will show a very low number even in the teens and once you start mov...
