You've possibly fried your radio cards by not using antennas on them.

Add antennas, move the routerboards away from each other, and try again.

if the RX/TX power is greater than -30-35ish dbm move them further away.

You're either running into interference, or low signal issues. or a combination of the two.

Run a Spectral-History / Spectral scan either with the dude or in winbox, and verify that the channel you are attempting to use is clean. if not, try different channels, or a smaller channel width and

Because of the way media access works with the NV2 protocol, you will see higher pings on an unloaded link / set of links. Okay. I would recommend a little higher TDMA period size. i've had problems with it set to 1ms try 2ms. also, what do you have the HW. Retries set to? My personal opinion.

However, my opinion is based on usage of the actual product. I use them in production links. Others are having similar experiences to me as well.

I believe MT staff would probably agree, but i wont speak for them, i'll let them chime in! :)

Remember also it depends on what type of traffic you will be needing. the SXT is not a super powerful device, and the CPU's will max out with TCP traffic.. somewhere around 30-50 Megabits. Using MPLS with VPLS Tunneling will help cpu usage on the units, but you wont reach max speed w/ tcp on a SXT.....

Try This:

Enable Extension channel on both devices,

Then disable chain 1 TX/RX on both devices. Test.

Then Enable Chain 1 TX/RX on both devices, and DISABLE Chain 0 TX ONLY on both devices. Test.

Take the wireless mac address and put it in this search

This will tell you the VENDOR. As stated above in terminal if you can look up the chipset and then deduce what card you have from that information.

Your real limitation will come down to the fact that none of your UBNT Gear is compatible with protocols where mikrotik can shine in PTMP. For example, Nstreme or Nv2. You are limited to 802.11, which will severely impact the number of clients you will be able to properly service.
