Re: Problem - Traffic Shaping on CRS3xx using Switch Rules

Update

I've tested on one CRS317 I have. The rule works perfectly fine. Bandwidth for that particular VLAN was limited to the rate defined in rule. But that 317 has ROS 6.46 vs 6.46.3 on this CRS309.

I'm not sure yet, if the issue is with 309 OR ROS-6.46.3 OR a combination of these two.

i think currently CRS3xx cannot do that kind of discrimination by VLAN i only had tested global shapping per port in switch --> port settings ingress egress The wiki says it supports VLAN as well as MAC based traffic shaping: https://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/Manual:CRS3xx_series_switches#Traffic_Shap...

Problem - Traffic Shaping on CRS3xx using Switch Rules

Hey Mates, I've a CRS309 (ver. 6.46.3), and trying to limit b/w on per VLAN bases using switch rules as described here: https://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/Manual:CRS3xx_series_switches#Traffic_Shaping . So this doesn't have anything to do with PoE unless I'm missing something. Have you tried playing with lease-time in /ip dhcp-server lease? I'm using the ISC DHCP server because that's what I had before I was using MikroTik. They have a "max-lease-time" option. It's also possible for a cl...

1) No, Access Manager DOES NOT support Speed Limit Burst.
2) Yes, Access Manager DOES support PPPoE/Hotspot login with same ID.

Radius is a Protocol, so there is no such term as compatible radius. If its a Radius server IT can be used with Mikrotik RouterOS to authenticate users. Freeradius seems to be the most popular in the industry and is Open Source. But it CANNOT BE installed on RouterBOARD itself.

Hey!

We've re-written the entire application. This time with downloadable (Free) version and it also supports PPPoE.

Re: RouterOS L4 as BGP??

Thanks for your reply buddy. But, I've already been to that page & didn't find answer to my question. As per this link, L4 supports only 200 PPPOE sessions & Hotspot users. But, I don't want to use RouterOS as Hotspot or PPPoE server. I just want to use it as BGP Router & user management...
