Re: Icon set for the dude

It's INCREDIBLE that mikrotik didn't released a set of icons for TheDude with all their mikrotik devices.

Also comunication towers, a couple of buildings, ...

It's unbelievable, really.

Only a hint about your config:

"adaptive-noise-immunity=ap-and-client-mode"

has no sense if the network is not 100% atheros chipset and it's enabled in everyone. That never will happens in 2.4 for clients.

First, you must understand what they mean polarization.
It is the electromagnetic wave polarization that has no connection with how the antenna is placed.
wtf ?!

Please, give up taking these strange red pills.

Remove clientes over 70. That CCQ's are worst than bad. You're not working in a clean frecuency. Be carefull when scanning with the Ubiquitis sectors shifted +5Mhz, you can't see them but they are there. I have a cheap Omnitik installed in nearly every places (with wlan1 disabled) only for scanning ...

Re: Consideration my project- Rain fade 24hd/17ghz backup airfiber5 and ring network alternative with mikrotik

Higher frequencies higher rain fade, so I dont think that AirFiber24 will give you more than 300mbits fd in the best of the cases. If your antennas are located in heavy loaded towers (dont mind the frequencies used there) you MUST shield the equipment and use parabolic dishes with ring, as intellige...

If you are doing NAT, it's easy, using 2 nat rules and selecting the In and Out (WANx) interface for each one.

Re: ARM based RouterBoard

The problem of a closed source. We have to beg any changes.
Success is based on a robust and simple hardware solution with a lightweight operating system and Linux-like.

Mikrotik has chosen this path, it is our option to choose it or not.
I experienced this several times in my life.
Time to time.

Need advice about a good SPF module for RB2011LS-IN

In a really saturated RF tower, I need to connect the backhaul in the lower part with the upper sectorial RB's using optic fiber cable (40 meters). No chance for ethernet or shielded solutions, I've tested a lot with very bad results. I think that the new RB2011LS-IN is exactly what I need (inside a...

Re: Use a 750G to substitute for NICs in a server?

No need vlans to do that. The port5 must have a ip in the server range. Go to IP -> Routes section, add the server ip as default gateway. With that, all the packets from ports 2,3 and 4 will go through the server. Now, when the packet return to your network, you need the opposite, to route the incom...

Re: Advise on Dual Polarisation Antenna

TDMA in mikrotik world is the protocol NV2. It will work with nearly all routerboards models. So you can't get TDMA using 802.11 or Nstreme protocols. All you need is that the base station and clients must use mikrotik ROS. TDMA of ubiquiti ap's/clients can't talk with mikrotik, is another protocol....

I've read somewhere in this forum something about that R52Hn cards have 2 amplifiers, each one connected to one MMCX, so the R52Hn is a 2 x 18 db card. If you use only one MMCX, you have a 18 db radio. That could be the reason, Matess. When I replaced the R52Hn with XR5 cards in a sector antenna, I ...
