Re: Solving 20km wireless link issues

tgrand is right about the power lines. Don't forget that electromagnetic field around the cables may also change the direction of the beam or create out of phase waves. If you have reflected waves that are out of phase, the RX signals of both points will be different. Looking at the pictures, I don'...

Re: SXT reflector - 154mbps TCP

What good is a SXT with such big dishes....when signal is -60 at 5 km. I have 5 km links with sxt on both sides and no big dishes. signal -51/53. Another link 13km with groove and 24dbi grid and sxt at client end and signal -61/64. easy with that dbms for 5km link with SXT w/o reflectors. You have ...

Re: SXT reflector - 154mbps TCP

Well Done. InoX! A brilliant idea. 10 dbm+, just for 15 bucks! And for a device which is cheap enough. Once again, thanx for the idea. I tried it today, but did some improvements with the pipes. Total 10 dbm for a dish. The link is about 4.8 km. The signal raises from -74dbm to -55dbm. The modulatio...

Re: SXT reflector - 154mbps TCP

InoX, as I understood from the pictures and the internet, focus sat is a DTH (or sattelite, or DVB-S) operator, and you are using 60cm dishes that actually is used for DVB-S recievers ? And as I know, these dishes are designed for 10-12 gHz. Please, confirm that till tomarrow afternoon, and I will t...

Re: Nv2 routeros and multicast issues

Today I tried it in the lab with two SXT using Nv2, ROS 5.6. The link throughtput is about 100-117 mps in one direction. 52/50 in both direction, UDP traffic. It is strange that I spent about half day to setup EoIP tunnel using Winbox. Nothing happens, until I did try with script commands. Is it som...

Re: Nv2 routeros and multicast issues

Thanks for the suggestions,
I will read the manual how to use EoIP and VPLS and will try the most effective solutions.
First of all, I have to move the link, since now it is diretly through the hill. And intersting, it is passing more than 100mbps......
Then I will write here what happens finally.

Nv2 routeros and multicast issues

I am trying to pass a multicast stream through a wireless PtP link using Nv2 standart. Actually, the link provides about 90mbps in desired direction. As described in the wiki, if the multicast is sent from the station, the packets are sent at maximum speed with ACK to the AP. Some king as a regular ...
