Multicast routing problem, is it possible ?

Hello, What i want to do is to "feed" my multicast router (B) form multile RP (router A) over wireless, so that the endpoint router will serve the multicast streams avilable from those RP-s. The schematics: Router A: 192.168.2.1 vlan2 multicast source 20 channels RP1 --- 192.168.4.1 ---- -...

Re: max number of multicast groups on router?

Hello, Think there is no restrictions from ros side. The only limitation will be the power of hardware vs concurrent multicast groups can handle. Routing takes a power. traffice itself is limited by network. What is the number of multicast groups it needs to handle and in what bitrate ? I have 150 c...

Hello, Read all the posts related to the vendor specific issues, but in my situation it does not help at all. What i am tring to do is to make Amino stb be reachable behind the nat, so there are different Mikrotik dhcp servers giving to the amino the correct vendor paramteres also eliminating of use...

How much concurrent multicast streams is possible???

Hello Peolple, I do not need theoretical answers, but answers from reality. My vision is that there will be ideal LOS between AP and Client and the coverage area will be not more than 1-2km. The multicast stream i mean will be iptv mpeg2 ts 4-6Mbit/s and i exept you know, that channel zap (changing)...

Re: Large number of users video streaming ideas

Hello, I suggest you to stream in multicast with igmp. Multicast i mean using right multicast subnetting. Streaming UDP may kill your wireless ap as it uses wery small packet. At the end you have to have IGMP snooping capable device. Also it is nessecary to have PIM/IGMP proxy querier, for that your...
