Re: 6.23 released!

IPv6 VRRP flapping also fixed and not in changelog ;-) maybe because it's actually still NOT working as it should in 6.23 (and 6.23.1). I opened ticket 2014120966000348: I've configured VRRP IPv6 on 2 routers in my lab on same ipv6 network with a global scope address on VRRP interface and it works ...

Re: Feature request for v7.x

I actually just miss one "feature" in RouterOS 5/6 and it would be awesome to have this in 7: IPv6! . The current state of IPv6 in RouterOS 6 is maybe partly usable for home users, soho applications, etc. But in no way is it safe or depending on the configuration even possible to use Mirko...

Re: IPv6 recursive nexthops via iBGP

I also am having big troubles with RouterOS and iBGP with IPv6 due to this issue. Please Mikrotik, consider fixing it! You may also write an e-Mail to MT Support about this issue. It's really sad that such basic stuff does not work. MikroTik needs to change thinking about IPv6, it's nothing new, it...

Re: IPv6 recursive nexthops via iBGP

Hi, Months later, routeros 6.0 is released and this problem is still not solved. Did anyone find a good workaround besides adding static routes? static routes is not really a workaround because static routes simply do not work in a redundant network layout! I would really appriciate to know when thi...

Re: IPv6 mangle action: SET PRIORITY

Hi,

Just came around the same problem. I need to set 802.1p priority for ipv4 and ipv6 traffic. Is there any news on this missing feature? How did you work around this?

thanks
Marco

Re: Bind VPLS to sepcific TE tunnel

Here is an example with two links but not using TE http://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/Transparently_Bridge_two_Networks_using_MPLS_extended Thanks for that. But I guess this does not work for me. I have 2 customers (1 vpls each) over this 2 routers / 3 links. I need to priorize one customer vpls over on...

Re: Bind VPLS to sepcific TE tunnel

VPLS iz bound to TE tunnel if VPLS destination address matches TE remote address. You don't need multiple loopback addresses unless you have multiple VPLS tunnels from/to the same routers. that's excactly what I need: 2 routers connected over 3 links (eth5<->eth5,eth6<->eth6,eth7<->eth7). I need on...

Bind VPLS to sepcific TE tunnel

Hi community and support, I read in a forum thread from 2008 that there is only one way to bind a VPLS to a specificy TE tunnel by using different loopback ip adresses for different vpls tunnels and then set from / to address of specific TE tunnel to that addresses. this is get quite confusing with ...

Re: IPv6 recursive nexthops via iBGP

Hi, Is there any update on this? I just faced this bug, in 5.18! This is really basic routing stuff, working on every other system I know. What's the problem that RouterOS cannot handle this? OSPFv3 nexthops are always link-local so there is no workaround at all I guess. It's best practice to use lo...

Looking for 1.5km wireless link solution

Hi there, We need to build a point to point (bridged ethernet, MTU1500) a wireless link over 1 to 1.5km distance for a customer project. There are no obstacles in the way over the whole distance. We can mount outdoor equipment on both sides but indoor equipment with outdoor antenna would also be pos...

Re: OSPv3 redestribution bug

It's very bugged :) first don't use other areas than backbone / 0, any other area (also on other non MT routers) will break adjs when MT receives an inter-area route. that's what broke adjs for me all the time... MT support told me the bug about redistribution from "user-static" routes is ...

OSPv3 redestribution bug

Hi, We have a lot of RB1100 with RouterOS 5.15 at or DSL POPs for PPPoE termination (PPPoE Server) and we need to roll out IPv6 over PPPoE. I tried to use "Framed-IPv6-Prefix" via Radius. The user route is added to the ipv6 routing table and everything is working so far. because we have mo...

OSPFv3 aera other than 0 (backbone) does not work

Hi, I'm trying to set up ospfv3 between an ROS 5.11 (RB1100) and a Cisco7200 IOS 12.4.24T6 Router. When I use area 0 for the Link everything works fine, but I need to have the link in area 10 because the Cisco router is the ABR and does route summarization / range. the neighbor adj changes goes thro...
