Coexistence between 802.11ac and 802.11n clients

Hi, I have a fully functional network with approx. 15-25 users connected to each sector 24/7. I use 120 dgs 5 GHz dual pol. antennas and RB912UAG-5HPnD RBs. All clients use RB-SXT Lite5 and other SXT variants. Distances are between 100m and 2.5 km and all signal levels are under -70 dBm. Say that I ...

Re: 3 wireless cards + routerboard 433

I have run 3 R52AH's on RB433AH. Fit's fine, no power issues, but interfence was problem. What kind of interference? Between cards? Can't you deal with that by making some kind of Faraday cage? I'm buying 2 433GLs with 2 R52Hns in both. Since I'll have one slot free (say middle one), I can easily p...

Re: Different signal strenght rx/tx with dual chain

@MrBoni your problem (ccq) is very different from brainy (dbm) in your case could be an interference problem I have both low CCQ and different Tx/Rx signals levels! Why do I have interference? I tried to change the frequency multiple times with no result. Maybe it's stupid - but try to rotate the S...

Re: Different signal strenght rx/tx with dual chain

@brainy I have the same problem. Same setup - OmniTik on one side, SXTs (and 711s) on the other. Also, same as me, you have different CCQ levels on Tx and Rx (97% vs 44%). Don't know about you, but I'm not getting any more throughput if I enable chain1 on SXTs. It's like 2x2 MIMO isn't doing it for ...

OmniTik <> SXT/711 on 11n 40MHz w/ NV2

Hi, I'm trying to configure 8-10 clients using RB-SXT and RB-711 connecting to OmniTik U-5HnD. Config is as follows (on all devices): (Wireless) Band : 5GHz-only-N (Wireless) Channel Width : 20/40MHz HT Above (Wireless) Frequency : 5180 MHz (Wireless) Wireless Protocol : nv2 (Wireless) Security Prof...

Re: Switching from 11a to 11a/n with nstreme

I've had decent luck with the R52Hn, just a few of them out there. I recommend testing on the ground for a week or so before putting them up. Had a board burn out after a few days. Seems that MT has sorted the problems out, but it is always best to stress the equipment before mounting it on a tower...

Re: Switching from 11a to 11a/n with nstreme

Thank you both for your replys. Unfortunately, since we're an association and not WISP, we can't change client equipment. We have to deal with what we have and can only make changes on our side. @ssofet you suggested switching to 40 MHz on 11a with nstreme on. I'm confused by MikroTik User's Manual ...

Switching from 11a to 11a/n with nstreme

Hi, currently I have a 802. 11a setup with 4 R52 cards in RB435G connected to single-pol antennas. Bandwith is 20 MHz and I'm not using nstreme. I have clients connecting with: RB-SXT (dual-pol panel) RB411 + R52 + single-pol panel RB711 + single-pol panel x86 running ROS 3.x with Trendnet TEW-503PI...
