Re: SSD to USB [SOLVED]

So you reckon that I didn't connect anything to the router but came here asking for help because the router didn't recognise not connected USB enclosure? I agree there are various people out there, but that's a bit too much. :) English is not my native language but I thought I wrote clearly enough i...

SSD to USB [SOLVED]

Hi, I recently happily upgraded to an RB5009 and thought of moving PiHole from a Raspberry Pi to docker on my new router. Since I had a 60 GB SSD laying around I bought an external USB enclosure (https://gembird.com/item.aspx?id=10356) planning to connect that SSD via USB to the router thinking it w...

Re: Correction for Simple Queue to Address list?

Thanks a lot, that is what I was looking for!! But now there is a problem when there are more queues with the same target address (but different Packet Marks). When "/ip firewall address-list add" encounters duplicate address it breaks the script with error "failure: already have such...

Correction for Simple Queue to Address list?

I need to copy target addresses from Simple Queue to an Address list. \ In order to do that I use the following script: :foreach i in=[ /queue simple find ] do={ :local ip [/queue simple get value-name=target $i ] /ip firewall address-list add list=List address=$ip } The problem is that I have some ...

Re: Help with script for DNS lookups and address lists

This time it runs through with no problem. Even when I runnit for the second time immediately after the first run it still doesn't get aborted and runs through to the end. One funny thing, when I run it, the first run, it showed 30 of those "DNSCACHE: Error" errors, and that's exactly how ...

Re: Help with script for DNS lookups and address lists

Thank you for the modified version as well. I have upgraded OS to v6.7 in the meantime and the original script now works without any modification. However, when I run if for the second time (soon after the first run) it ends up in error. Please have a look: DNSCACHE: Error on r4---sn-nvm-cxbe.google...

Re: Help with script for DNS lookups and address lists

Oh, I see.. I've tried it on a router with 6.3 version.
I don't want to bother you more than I have already, I will just upgrade the OS to a higher version.
Thanks again!

Re: Help with script for DNS lookups and address lists

Thank you very very much Efaden!!! The script works like a charm. I had to takeout the following part of the script though, as it was giving me an error, but that doesn't decrease its usefulness at all! timeout=$myTimeout } on-error={ :put "DNSCACHE: Error on $myName $myData $myType" }

Re: Help with script for DNS lookups and address lists

I have tried merging it but with no success.
It's not a pressing matter so if you could do it in a two weeks time,
when you have free time it would be great.

Best regards!

Help with script for DNS lookups and address lists

I'm using the script from http://adminsline.wordpress.com/2012/08/03/mikrotik-youtube/ in order to make address list with YouTube video server IPs from DNS cache so I can make some redirections. I wish to use the same script so I could grab IP addresses of some other video streaming sites, like vime...

Removing an address from a address-list

I'm trying to make a script which would allow me to remove an address from Address Lists. As one needs the number of the address entry to be able to remove the address, I thought of using something like this (lets say 192.168.205.13 is the address I want removed): :put ([:pick [/ip firewall address-...

Re: RouterOS v6.0rc13 released

I confirm problem with 6.0rc14 (as well as rc13) on CCR1016 where SNMP
readings could only be read every few tries. It makes monitoring with Cacti
(or any other software for that matter) unusable.

I hope we could expect fix sometime soon...

Re: No graph when hoover the mouse over a link

The problem solved! I had a program started (a kind of a news ticker service) that was interfering somehow with the Dude.
When I exit the program the pop-ups in the Dude show correctly. Who would have thought?!
