MikroTik does provide a free compensation program with immediate replacement if the unit if faulty. This is up to your distributor to provide it to you a loan unit. Please understand that we are located in another country, we can't easily loan you a replacement unit while distributor is repairing o...
6.4 crached. Not even a watchdog restart. Nothing. Just crached. I got link to the 6.5 from the support, but it is not working now. I need quick help as the occassional restarts were bad, but a fully frozen router is much much worse. Please :( Hi, changing CPU settings to 600MHz stabilized the rout...
Router stable with CPU freq set to 600MHz. Mikrotik support told me to return it to them. ... Ofc, no replacement device supplied. To clarify, you were asked to return it to the distributor, not MikroTik. The Distributor then could give you a replacement unit, depending on where you bought it. what...
this lame absolutely non production platform drives me crazy (and not only me) restarts at least once a day, without obvious reasons while was on 6.2. now on 6.5 it restarting couple times per day. Hi, stable if you set cpu freq. to 600MHz. For me it seems to be a HW bug. (Not enough cooling?) Mikr...
However, I dont really use many features and I exported the config and placed at the root like config.auto.rsc. So even if the upgrade would brake my settings, it gets imported on startup, doesnt it?
That was 6.3. The router keeps restarting without known causes ever since 6.2. Sometimes watchdog, sometimes kernel panic. That is not stabilty. 6.4 freezed completely. I saw 6.5 changelog: *) route - fixed crash that could be triggered by change in nexthop address resolution; Which seems to me to b...
Hi, I had this problem on 6.4. I did no update, but first I disabled all graphs and turned off saving to disk then waited for a reboot. After that I reenabled them and saving to disk and now all my graphs survived the last reboot. (However, I only use interface and resource graphs.) Bests, Semir
Hi,
thanks!
Yes, I know. Also support told me it has it fixed. However, after the router restarted itself without any known reason, the leakage stopped.
So for now I'll wait a while until 6.4 has it's new buglist XD As I see it grows quickly... Also I need to minimize outages.
Hi, Please give me a helping hand in this. I really tried to google these topics, but all MikroTik wikis are focused on successfull operation and dont have infromation about what to do in emergencies/failures. However, could you please advise me where can I find information about failed upgrades? I ...
As I saw 6.3 did have some update on gbit links, but Im still waiting for feedbacks on 6.3 issues/stability. Also I found that 500-700Mbit IPv6 DDOS traffic loads the cores to 100% (with 2 FW rules only), so ipv6 ddos above 700Mbit may have triggered the watchdog. But this does not answer the cases ...
Hi, I was just wondering if it maxes the overall execution of firewall rules quicker if I place logically connected rules in different chains? I mean that way the 4-5 rules connected together get executed only if the JUMP rule in the main chain is matched. But the jump could cause equally high load....
