I just upgraded a pair of 433s..

Lost the ability to login to them via WinBox..
Password from serial port is fine, but via Winbox = "wrong username or password"...
Checked and unchecked the secure option...

I hve no "special tricks" for the SR71.. in the "n" opperation. It is simply the RouterOS that "Drives" it.. Your biggest factors will be configuration, RF environment, antennas, and the card.. Oh and cables. You need to have ample CPU... based on users / rules/ service...

Mini-box is NOT making any more riser plates at this time....
They have to order the plates in 2K runs... and they dont want to get stuck with extras.

The logging system has options for iSCSI... so i would "belive" the code is there for the init.

But it is NOT exposed to the system at this time (cant mount an iSCSI target and have it show up in the "STORES")..

So i think I would say, "Not at this time"..

Re: Block Lan Over Wireless Network !

You can use the drop rule in a range IE: 192.168.0.2 - 192.168.0.255
This allows for the 433 only.

OR
create an allow rule BEFORE the drop rule for the 433.

OR a chain that looks for the 433 traffic by specific ports and then dropps all else..

Just some ideas..

Drivers CAN NOT be added to RouterOS by users..

The driver selection is a CLOSED system.

What is there is there. Only MikroTik can add or remove drivers.

In looking at the RB816... I looks like the system communicates to the Ic178C switch chip via an Infinion an983b. ethernet chip, with the IC178C running in a 8+1 port configuration. This would mean that the 8 ports "share" a common 100Mbit link to the PCI bus. SO... that would be 100Mbit p...

Look at the port configs..

I usualy use port 2 as the "master"..

Look at 3-5 set their master port to 2..

Then...

Port 1 = stand alone port (usualy WAN)
Ports 2-5 = switched "LAN" segment...

That is about it...
