Hmm, did you observe CCQ readings while passing traffic? I.e. when conducting a bandwidth test ... Usually at idle, CCQ readings can be deceptive.

Yes both boards are 411 ah. When i start the signal is -18. Btw both boards are set as wds ap.

-18 .... are you sure? -18 is really "hot". (I.e. wayyy to much signal, causing ber errors)

Turn down the power a bit if the above is true.

In addition to what others have said... You need to use higher gain antennae in any event ... also why omnis? Esp at 900Mhz. Your spewing out wasted energy, you'd want to focus it on your given targets. Again, why omnis for clients? Sure its cheaper but your doing yourself and injustice for the same...

Not entirely accurate.
802.11n can receive on one antenna while transmitting on the other.

Does this sound like full duplex to you?

Anything with the prefix 802.11xx is half duplex in nature.

What kind of Router is it? A RouterBOARD?

Some models are locked to the region because of local country requirements. If you want to override them (at your own risk), reinstall RouterOS with Netinstall

900Mhz shouldnt pose that much of a problem for you, provided there is enough clean spectrum. Remember lots of paging sites and utility companies use this space because of its excellent "range qualities". There is no default setup, but you'd more than likely have to use a divided or quarte...

as jcremin mentioned your power is a bit too high, but tolerable .... what should help is turning on nstreme .... it has saved my back and sanity many times ...

As an alternative to using a script, you could change the ports that ftp, telnet, and ssh use under /ip service.

I always find this as being much easier ... I usually change each default port number one up or one down.

I have both the latest version of netinstall and the routeros software..... It is well understood routeros itself cannot be upgraded from serial... I have the connection between the routerboard and pc connected through a decent enough switch but ill do a direct connection to see if that helps anybit...

Can you draw up a simple diagram in paint or so to help us better understand what it is you are trying to achieve, as in my opinion bridging should always be used as a last resort, including WDS... Ah, thanx much for the reply, I havent had any luck with beta9 as voip packets causes a kernel panic and renders everything useless. I did try my vonage softphone and it worked behind the nat but the voip setup is not that of vonage.

I know I stateing the obvious, but you have got your 3 x 2.4GHz radios on different frequencies? If they're all on the same or very close frequencies then I'm not surprised you see high power levels, after all that's what they're supposed to do!! Hmm, luckily enough the cards started transmitting/receiving again... but as said before the diagnostics leds are not functioning ..... Ill still go ahead with the rma tho.

Hmm, Id say no. The best bet is to use a up/down converter. Its the same principle behind the sr9.

Doubt you'll be able to find a 2.4<-->10 GHZ convertor but its still worth searching.
