I recently encountered this problem after a network overhaul. Turns out I had accidentally used the same router-id on two different routers. Might try checking to confirm that all your routers have a unique OSPF router-id.

Meltdown and Spectre Security Vulnerabilities on x86

I just learned about the Meltdown and Spectre attacks (CVE-2017-5754, CVE-2017-5753, CVE-2017-5715).

How vulnerable are our x86 routers? When will a patch be available?

Looking for a official word from Mikrotik.

I see HP equipment with the latest version on the network? Maybe Cisco adding some extra info thats not standard, would not surprise me. CDP Doesn't Work

I have never seen a Cisco device in the Mikrotik Neighbors list, however I see Mikrotik devices in Cisco neighbor lists all the time.

Documentation says Mikrotik should list CDP peers as well as Mikrotik.

When will this bug be fixed??

Not cool dude.... You should try to keep you router software at least somewhat current. Preventative maintenance is VERY important - Intel/Centrino-based chipsets can't even wirelessly associate to 2.8 series firmware radios, much less browse the internet. My first word of advice - PULL the running ...

Re: Notice of Internet Protocol version 4 (IPv4) Depletion

Yes, we are. We had to add a Cisco overbuild in the core for IPv6 compatibility, as Mikrotik's IPv6 support is still a joke. We have secondary SSIDs on our Mikrotik hotspots running WPA-ENT tagged to a VLAN that hands off to Cisco parameter routers. People still have to register using the hotspot pa...

I would like an option added such that if any or all radius servers time out then a user is permitted to log in instead of being blocked. This way if our radius fails for any length of time it is an inconvenience instead of a catastrophe. Additionally, the option would have to include the ability to...

There is no need to use high power wireless cards if you need to only up to 14db output power. True... The problem is that you rarely know you only need 14dB of power or less until after equipment installation at a customer's site. It is preferable to err high and back the power off than err low an...
