433AH stop working (4 leds open)

Hi,

i just bought a 433AH and i work it with an r52n and atheros cm9. It worked for 2 days and suddenly stopped. I try to restart it but when i plug the power the 4 leds (LD501, LD502, LD503, LD 504) open and nothing else happen, also the ethernet leds are open but with low light. I try winbox, serial, netintall but nothing. Also reset is not working.

Any help?

Hi,

What is the version of the OS, you made an upgrade after you bought it?
Have you tried to start it with only the R52n installed?

If you have the serial hooked up, then power up the device, do you see any of the boot-up sequence?

Also, are you powering it via PoE or plug? Try switching to the other one and see if that helps.

Hi, i have the same issue.

After i upgrade 433AH to the latest RouterOS 5.7, router stop responding, no booting, just only 4 leds shining (LD501, LD503, LD502, LD504).

I tryed to powering it by POE either by power supply. No change.

What else can i do to recover it?

Hi,

Had a very similar issue with a RB450 board. Blue LED on, green LED barely flickering, and eth ports 4 & 5 LEDs flickering. No output on boot from the serial port. Looked at the board and had a slight suspicion that one of the capacitors had a leak. Replaced three identical ones on the board and then, no problem, unit works like new!

Give the capacitors a close look and if any one looks slightly iffy, replace. On costs a few euro cents and some time .
