Could not get R05 to boot on Intel DG33FB Motherboard...

Hello.

I have been trying to install release5 on an Intel DG33FB motherboard, 1GB ram (2x512) and core2duo e6750, with a 3com ethernet and Sata HD.

It installs fine, but later, it doesnt boot.

It says "Uncompressing Linux, Ok, booting the kernel.

and stops there.

Anybody can help me please…

Thanks you all!

Try to install with different SATA boot options (legacy,AHCI,normal).

Thanks for your answer, but I tried all combinations. One by one… and more than once.
I tried with netinstall too.
I tied with ide attached to ide port, and with sata attached to sata and configured as any option the Motherboard has.

Still same result.

I dont know what else to do. I bought this MB / micro especially for MT.

I will try with USB stick mem stick… (i still have to buy one)

I tried all day again now with an USB stick,

Netinstall detects it as hard drive, installs fine, but later same thing than before.

It doennt boot. it just says Uncompressing linux, ok… , Booting the kernel.

And hungs there.,

Any help would be great.

Thanks, bye…

have you tried to get the latest bios for this motherboard?
Try to boot it wthout any network card, disable the onboard card also.
What CPU you are using?

I will try that.

core2duo e6750

you see that on the display?
does the router beep twice after a while?
try to remove all the network interfaces and try to boot.

No change.

I disabled network adapter and took out the pci card…

Tried again with sata hd, ide hd and usb stick.

Still no change. and no beep. Just freezes.

Computer is working fine, I installed w2003 and vista and works flawlessly.

Hope there is an upgrade coming with support for this kind of hardware.!

Just for testing…

I took out the usb Stick and plugged on another computer (Mother intel 945gtp with pentium D 3.4 Ghz) and booted without problems.

So… Drivers for new motherboards please!!!

Tested now v3 R06, didnt work too. Same thing.

on intel DG33BUC board, v3 Rc9 didnt work too.

is it possible to boot v2.9 on this board and make the support output file and send to support@mikrotik.com so we could check what it is so special in that board.

it is not only that board…

Its all the chipset!

we will add this info to the specification sheet for v3.0 that it doesn’t support Intel G33 chipset

thank you very much.
