CubeSA 60Pro WATER DANGER

Hi,

I am very afraid of water going inside the CubeSA 60Pro/Cube 60Pro. When you point Cube 60 down, there is big chance to get water inside and break the device. Why is there so bad solution for connecting cable? The old cube and wap are much better in this case.

Why the people are not thinking when they are making those devices? The same problem is with nRAY.

Water usually doesn’t go up.
Use the device in the proper orientation = connections pointing down.

Issue solved.
Design purpose fulfilled.

sorry but I doubt you have ever seen the device… so 10 angle down is for AP forbiden? Please better then write nonsence is be quiet…

this is the way to take old working device make new design and make new device useless

I know what they are.
They are designed for outside.
Even with fallback when it really poors and 60ghz can not get through.
Don’t you think they would foresee then it can get wet ?

It has happened… the curious thing is that it was not pointed downwards, rather with an angle of 45 upwards. this worries me for all installed products.

Is it dead? I’ve seen people are using tape to avoid this happen…but how long will the tape last? Take good design (cube 60 AC and wap) and make it wrong (cube pro, SA)

Ye. We’ve lost a bunch due to rain as well. 90’ is fine but pointing up in hard rain. They’re toast

in the manuals it does not indicate that.

it is dead and replaced by another one… I understand that you will suffer the same problem

@enlace101

Hello
Can you tell in more detail what happened (where and how the water got in)
Possibly disassembly photos
I will be very grateful to you
Thank you

correct installation. the only special thing is a positive 45 degree inclination (up, it’s in a valley)

I should install the pair next wednesday, are you sure you installed them right?
I’m in doubt whether to cancel the order…
Thanks

Yes, we also have water problems. Both CubePRO and CubeSA have problems. Unfortunately, it does not flow there through a grommet, but through poor-quality gluing.
Since the antennas have no drain, water accumulates inside. Bad design! :open_mouth:
Previous versions (WAP60) were better in terms of rain resistance

@honzam

Did I understand you correctly?
Is there a problem with these connections?
Perhaps you have a photo of the disassembled device?

Could it be something to do with condensation or just a bad seal?

I’m sorry you experienced such issue. If there is any damage, as with any device, please submit to warranty for repair or replacement. We will investigate is this is a manufacturing defect in the specific unit, or if there is room for improvement in the future design of the device.

What to do for those who have already installed equipment?
Wait until it breaks?
You can selectively check the quality of several devices (3-4 pieces)?
