Hi,
did anyone manage to use Huawei E3372 with device id 0x1506 work as a lte interface? (or anything else that is faster than ppp)
from http://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/Supported_Hardware#4G_LTE_cards
Huawei E3372 v6.xx Works! LTE interface. vendor-id=“0x12d1” device-id=“0x14dc” USB
I’ve not found any solution on the net, everyone who got it working had the 0x14dc device id.
Is there any chance the 0x1506 will be supported later? or is there some reason it can’t be supported on mikrotik? Or did I just misconfigure something and it actually works?
Thanks,
Gh.
vendor-id=“0x12d1” device-id=“0x1506” uses CDC_NCM driver and curently it is not supported in RouterOS
I have seen some clients altering Huawei E3372 firmware and and changing it DeviceID to 0x14dc who uses CDC-ECM driver
is there any chance for CDC_NCM support in short term?
and as for the modyfying - I’ve found tutorial how to do it the other way, but not much on how to make nonhilink version into hilink. maybe some of the russian forums that came out of google, but I don’t think it’s safe to follow google-translated tutorial
for v7 we will be introducing mbim drivers in it will add variety of new lte modems support
cannot comment on NCM support, sorry.
