Feature request: Use of sound files on an event rather than just a beep. With sound tech support can turn the volume up if they step away from the puter.
Question on Beta4. I am seeing a lot of 0 ping times on devices on the map. I may see a spike of 8 ms once in a while but the rest of the time it is 0. Pinging from the same box that Dude is running on, ping times stay around 2ms or whatever when testing different devices and comparing. But dude reports 0. Any ideas?

you can do it already with ‘sound’ notification. You just need to make a new notification, choose type sound, and select a sound file.

Thanks for the advise. We are using Win2k3 server and 2b3 version of dude.
When I select sound and get one of the windows built in sounds, the forward arrow plays the sound. When I click the TEST sound button, it says Test OK, but we hear nothing.
Is this normal, or should we expect to hear it then.
Also, I have checked mark the notification of sound, and set it for a printer (to test with). The printer is turned off, and the icon goes red. Except we hear no notification.
We are aware of this bug, it is fixed in next release.
