I have noticed, (see attached pic) sometimes the values on the interfaces in Winbox goes to “0” for a second and then back to normal. Happens every couple of seconds and from what I have seen, it has been happening since about 6.39, cant say if it happened before then.
Usually it happens after I did sniffing, or something like that on the Mikrotik device, this time it started doing it when I was connected to my router via Winbox and connected via VPN from my pc to one of my clients Mikrotik router
Ether1 is my WAN interface, I have ± 15 active users/devices on the network and does not “seem” to be impacting users
When I reboot the router, it goes back to normal again
I currently have gamers active and they are using voice calls during the gaming, so I am really struggling to understand how the ether1 (my WAN interface) can go to “0” ± every 3rd seconds
The gamer is connected to ether3, he has not complained yet about any issues.
Anybody with an idea what is happening here?
UPDATE:
While I was typing this post, I lost connection to the router via Winbox, reconnected and now all seems fine???
I think you might be heading in the right direction.
With the fact that none of my gamer and/or youtubing kids complain at the time, and also if you close Winbox and reopen it, these symptoms are gone, I don’t see it as a problem on my network anymore and will take this as solved
