We are happy to announce 802.11ac support in RouterOS. Before we make this a general release, we would like to give you, the forum users, the ability to test it first.
802.11ac support is enabled for QCA9880/9882 rev2 (-BR4A) wireless chipsets, and wireless-fp package must be used. It is included in the general combined package, no separate downoad necessary

i updated my RB493G (running as AP) from 6.15 and got a reboot loop. On the serial console i see no error, just repeating boot/login prompt and a reboot around 5-10 sec after the boot . No chance to get a supout
Update: ok was able to login fast enough and get this:
01:00:43 system, info, account user xxx logged in via local
[xxx@mtr17] /log>
echo: system, error, critical System rebooted because of kernel failure
It looks like a Ethernet issue, as soon as i plug in Ethernet, the kernel crashes after short moment after the auto Negotiation. Wireless connection is ok.
I was able to get the autosupout file and made a Ticket to MT, id is: Ticket#2014070966000634
Now there is updated 6.16rc version available from the same links, that has fix for RB4xx boards.
We will be happy to receive feedback on this version.
On CRS-125-24G-1S firmware 6.16rc18 kills the primary bootloader (3.17 - no message on the serial console, no access, nothing on the display, just the switch chip working and usr1 LED blinking fast).
It starts up correctly with the backup(3.08) and is working.
Reverted to 6.15 and still no boot with the primary. After rewriting the primary bootloader from 6.15 (3.16) everything is back to normal.
I think that giving the opportunity to test the latest RC a few days before publishing a new release is a great idea! People can test the system on non critical devices…
*) l2tp server: added option to enable IPsec automatically;
Tested this on CCR and x86:
At first, i expected that it forces the client to do ipsec for a successfull connection, but it looks like, it just creates a peer entry for l2tp/ipsec.
Sadly can’t find any Minipci based card with QCA9880/9882 Chipset, only Minipci-e
111111, you are 100% correct. We are preparing new demo routers, instead of current ones with AC cards and links. Thank you very much for the interest.
10x for understand maby all products must have sub-domains
ex RB953GS-5HnT.mt.lv
and connected each other by all possible scenarios
ex. MESH, bridge, BGP, OSPF, GSM network etc.
