Feature Request: Full soport for a ITU-T G.984

Hello , I have a Mikrotik GPON ONU module with my Router RB3011. My ISP Movistar Spain use a GPON tecnology . The problem is that for connect a the ISP Network GPON use a IDONT Number for authenticate in a GPON network.The number is for exemple F2015232412445. I need configure a GPON module with my IDONT Number for authenticate.

that not a part of ITU-T G.984.
its one of 3 major PON problems: 1. nobody care about "standards". both vendors, ISP and officials/gov't. aside other two like 2. horrible equipment. 3. lack of security in both senses. 4. technical deficiency/inferiority.

I have the same need as routiti. Would be great, be able to connect directly the router to the movistar network.

I talked with support of mikrotik "support@mikrotik.com" and he said that they are working in a new firmware to this module GPON. We'll have to wait by the new firmware of GPON....

Hello,

There is a new firmware in development at the moment. When it's released then it will be possible to change various registration ID's and Passwords in the module. At the moment however it is not yet know when it's going to be released.

Also current batch modules will only be upgradable through OLT.
