One Port with untagged and tagged VLANs?

Mon Jun 18, 2018 12:37 am

Hi,

At the moment I have on ETH1 my WAN and on ETH2 till ETH7 my LANs. Now I want to reduce my cables by using VLANs.
How do I configure the follwoing scenario:

ETH1 is my WAN interface
ETH2 is my LAN interface with VLANs

On ETH2 I need VLAN101 untagged and VLAN102 till VLAN106 tagged. How can I archive this?
I think this is a simple setup, but I don't know how to configure it properly :)

Thanks! :)

First I think we need to understand what you are trying out o achieve, use VLAN's to reduce cabling, not sure I understand, can you elaborate on this?
Is there another switch involved?

That's quite easy.
Create VLAN interfaces under ETH2 with the vlan id you want to tag. Eg. from vlan 102 to vlan 106. Create 5 vlan interfaces.
vlan 101 untagged vlan no need to create, just use eth2 should be fine.
