A nice feature would be to have the option on the AP to set a preferred band. Like if I have 2 radios one on 2.4Ghz and one on 5Ghz that I can advertise that clients should prefer 5Ghz. It can be done today with access lists but it is a bit difficult.

A simple setting that would always tell clients to try a specific band would be nice.

In our Cisco environment it is called "Client Band Select"

In high-density settings, "band steering" (ie: moving clients that connect to 2Ghz radios, but support 5Ghz, to the 5Ghz radio) is a godsend.

It's a shame that 3 years after this request was done, there is still no sign of such a feature in RouterOS.
