This is interesting - do you have any links that show examples of how this feature improves converge times?

As I understand it, this option is primarily used to pass on a hop count as prefixes are exchanged on their way to route reflectors and ensures traffic follows a predictable path. Without this the route reflectors would collapse active-active routes and only send on one route to other routers.

Surprised Miktotik haven't implemented this, need it to route traffic symmetrically on active/active customer BGP peering sessions.
