introduction:
we are using several routerboards with mini pcie slots with huawei me909u-521, firmware (11.234.77.00.00)
the interface is enabled under ressources and would be recognized as usb.

at the moment we test with the RB953GS-5HnT ... with 6.24
the interface works fine in different setups. f.e. - dhcp client

problem:

we want to use the lte interface as a ppp-client - problem is that the interface is not available under /ports - there is only the serial console interface.

how to bring the lte interface into the serial ports ?

You need to disable Direct-IP drivers if it is showing up as an LTE device.
System->Ports->Firmware.

# are there any known modem/dial strings to optimize lte connections ? we use standard ATDT now.

# is there any possibility to remote check the interface / radio quality - because info tells me not possible if ppp interface is up.
